View Full Version : Anyone know much about this controller for the SFC?

It's called the Capcom Pad Soldier. Here are some pics:

I have never seen or heard of one of these. But I picked up a couple of ASCII SNES fighting sticks tonight at Rhino and saw one of these as well. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with one of these. It looks like you use it the same way that I sometimes hold a conventional controller in SFII, only with face buttons for L and R. And at only $8 used, I might give it a whirl if anyone can recommend it.

I used one once at a kiosk in a KB, they actually were released in the US for the SNES and the Genesis

Hey...i Bought One Of Those Controllers When I Had A Snes..thats One Of The Best Controllers For Fighting Games.. It Was Meant To Be Play With The Street Fighter Series..brings Back Old Memories

Yeah, I went back and bought it. Great thing to do with $7.99. I like it a lot.:)

That controller was the first thing I ever bought at the EB when it opened up near me about 7 years ago. I needed a replacement SNES controller anyway since my friend broke my regular one. It's great for fighting games. Good with other types. Strange for SMW since the L and R buttons scroll the screen and they're not on top. Start and select placement is also a little awkward at first.

Great pad though.
