Need Ext. Hard Drive Help

Yesterday, My computer decided to change the Letter assigned to my Maxtor HD for some stupid reason. Now most programs will not and can find the drive period. How can switch the letter back to normal or fix this?

Using Windows XP? And I assume this is not the drive that has the OS installed on it?

edit: assuming you have XP and this is not the hard drive you boot from, do this. Right click My Computer, then click Manage from the menu. In the window that appears, click Disk Management (listed in the left pane).

Now on the right pane you should see a list of all drives on your machine. Right click the one you want to change and select Change Drive Letters and Paths. In the window that pops up, highlight the drive letter and click the change button. Change it to whatever you want and click ok.
