I'm having this computer problem where my whole computer just turns off. I hear this beeping sound that sounds like an emergency. The only way to make the sound stop is to pull the power extenstion from the back and turn off the power supply.

I first thought maybe it's cause the computer has been overheating and I bought new fans, but it still didn't work. I was thinking maybe there isn't enough power going through all my hard drives. Any kind of help will be beneficial. Thanks in advance.

It's definitely something with your motherboard or something attached to it. First I'd try taking everything off of the board (CPU, RAM, AGP, PCI cards, etc) and reseating them to make sure they haven't worked their way out of their slots over time. If that doesn't help, there should be a jumper on your motherboard to reset all the settings in CMOS to default. If that doesn't work then it's probably a hardware failure of some sort on the board. If you have another computer available, try swapping parts to ensure that they are still in good working condition.

Good luck.
