I have a Philips Aurilium external USB soundcard. It was working up until a few weeks ago, but after I installed a program for my TV tuner card it just stopped.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the TV turner card program, repairing and then uninstalling and reinstalling the sound agent 2 sound card software, switching USB ports, doing a system restore and switching to the onboard sound (it automatically switches back to the sound card).

When I try to access the Sound Agent 2 program it won't open, and the sound agent 2 icon on the lower right hand of the screen has a circle with a dash through it (but it's not muted. I wish it was).

When I go into the master volume control (start->all
programs->accessories->entertainment->volume control) the speaker volume and balance are greyed out and unselectable.

If anyone has any ideas about what I should do please run them by me.

I hate to bumb this back up, but I haven't found the time to call Philips for help yet.
Today I tried turning off the integrated sound in the bios, which didn't work, so I turned it back on. I then unplugged the card and plugged my speakers into the motherboard, but when I did this I accidentally unplugged the keyboard. Since my account needs a password I went into my mom's account (who never uses this computer) and the integrated sound worked on her account.
I then found out that the integrated sound didn't work on my account, but the integrated sound also worked on my dad's account (who also never uses the computer).
Once again, if anyone has any ideas please run them by me.
