I just started using Mozilla Firefox, but for some reason, even though I've clicked the "Select New Tabs From Opened Links" box, it won't open links in new TABS, not pages. This is driving me nuts, and if I can't fix this, I'm going back to Avant. Any suggestions?

Wait, did you try clicking in the scroll wheel to open the new tab? Or are you talking the left mouse click?

I usually just click my scroll wheel which acts as my middle button on the links. Firefox opens new link in new tab without any problem. Do you have a middle button on your mouse?

I didn't even know Firefox did that.
[scroll wheel pushed in = open in new tab.]
Pretty cool.
I usually just do Right click -> Open in new tab but I'll try using this, see if it flows any better.

I didn't know you could do that either, but it feels a bit unnatural. I'll try that add-on, Casey.

Clicking the middle wheel may seem unnatural at first, but it becomes second nature later. It's one of FF's greatest features.

Agreed. Middle-clicking has become my main link-clicker.

Holy crap. I will consider this my something new learned for the day. Jeez, and all this time I've been using FireFox without knowing that...

Middle click also closes tabs (click on the tab itself). And don't forget about putting the mouse over the tab bar and scrolling with the wheel to quickly go through tabs. Though that one's not as useful.
