I've reached the point where I've got about 80 of the XXX number of missions done, and the problem is the game is really starting to kick my ass.
I love replaying a level...just not 30 times in a row :)
I also notice where I'm at now, that there are more of those crash challenges coming up....frankly, I hate those. I hate those to death...I want to race and slam into other cars.
Based on where I am in the game, are there more races and takedown challenges to go, or is it mostly burning laps and those crash-challenges towards the end of the game........???
Its been fun up until this point......doing the burning laps in the hotrod is next to impossible for me as the thing is like driving a brick, and then trying to get the Circuit Racer on those burning laps...ugh...its madness.

I'm suprised to read someone dosent like the Crash mode, that was one of the more innovative features of the game and it's awesome fun for multiplayer.

I think the crash mode is better than the races. Don't get me wrong, I like the races a lot, but the crash mode is my favorite.

Well, I've never played the game multiplayer...perhaps thats why.....always aim for the 4x multiplier, etc.....I just dont find it fun, I find it "something I have to get through".
The Racing and Takedown events are what I enjoy...the burning laps are ok but the last couple in asia are real controller-throwing exercises in frustration...

The biggest turn off of the crash mode for me is the load times. I just can't stand playing something that takes as long to load as it does to finish.

Initially I loved crash mode in Burnout 2. However, with Burnout 3 I agree with HeadRush, it's something I feel I have play through. I find it all very repetitive and monotonous. More often than not crash mode seems to be about luck and gets in the way of what I really want to do, which is race, enjoy the sense of speed the game offers, and take out my opponents. Although crash mode does seem to have a strong following, at least on Live, it is the weakest part of what I consider an otherwise extremely entertaining game.

I like crash mode, but for me road rage mode is where it's at. You get to drive at high speeds and beat the crap out of a ton of other cars. It's the best of both worlds!

Agreed, crash mode is great. I've gone through the world mode doing most of them without doing many of the races.

you poor bastard.
The Burning lap courses in asia are more like a flamming hemmeroid than any other part of the game... The crash isnt so much about luck as planning your route and specifically the impact point and directing your car towards the items you need to collect and the highest desity of vehicles to wreck is generally easier than it looks.
Actually when I was refering to multi player i was talking about with friends in the same room not online (I think it's a sad commentary on the state of gamers social lives and gaming in general when online has become the definition of multiplayer gaming rather than hanging out with friends trash talking face to face.)

I love Crash mode (although I think I liked it better in Burnout 2), but Road Rage is my favorite by far. I don't care much for the one-lap time trials, but they can get pretty intense.

I may never bother completing all those burning laps... playing those feels like "just another racing game." A while back I kept trying and trying to get a gold on some lap, and I was just thinking "why am I doing this to myself when there are so many other modes that kick ass??!?!?"

The Crash mode was definitely better in burnout 2, but this is because they introduced the 2x and 4x multiplier. had they not, the crash mode in BO3 would have been better. It's still pretty good though.

I blame it on EAs style of stretching content. They forced more racing modes like the incredibly unfun burning laps while the scoring multipliers and ramps make you spend more time collecting items than figuring out how to create more damage.
I hope they tone som of that down and make it more about finding things in the environment that will give you air other than a RAMP.
