After my launch PSP was returned (it had 10 dead pixels), I had to get my money back as they were out of stock at my local Circuit City.
Well today, I got my replacement, and I haven't cracked it open yet. Guess the number of dead pixels... (Bonus for predicting the number of hot/cold pixels)...
My vote (and hope) is for ZERO!
Wish me luck, I'm super anal when it comes to my things.

I'd say a 3 pixels. So has anyone heard anything from Sony on this issue in addition to what's already been heard? I still haven't opened my PSP is it possible I can get my money back?

Three of my buddies have picked up PSPs in the last week with a total of 0 dead pixels.

You really should return it and wait til the next batch of PSPs comes out when Sony finally fixes all the kinks. After having been burned by first gen PS1s and PS2s, I definitely learned my lesson and am waiting on the PSPs.
