Recently I had a thought about Nintendo. I'm not sure why but I was wondering what it would be like if nintendo was to enter a few different situations and figured I'd make a topic about it (I'm bored and it's late). So what are your thoughts? Or is this the dumbest poll you've ever seen? I contemplated adding a "Merge with Microsoft" option but it just seemed so wrong, thus I excluded it.
No Poll...

I honestly dont think they should be doing anything different. They've always been about doing what they want to do and standing by their philosophies.
Thats the only way they could possibly survive anyway. It wouldnt work out for them if they sold out and became a Sony clone.
They make plenty of money on their own terms and they will continue to do so (as opposed to maybe some other companies in the industry who havent made any money ::cough:: )
I think its easy to say that if Nintendo ever left gaming, a lot of us would follow.

I'd rather they become a software company myself. The Gamecube is a great system... but it's not really all that different from the PS2/XBox. The GBA/GC Connectivity is cool... but only in a handful of games.
Keep in mind I started gaming with Nintendo back in '86, and have owned every system they've put out excluding the Virtual Boy. I think they'd just do better overall developing/publishing software on home consoles.
However, competition is a very good thing, and they contribute to that. Also, they might just pull off something special, and unique with the Revolution... never know til it's released, and even then... not til at least 1.5 years into a console's lifespan.
Portable system wise... I really like 'em though. I love my GBA SP. Best, most portable system =)
