I say Loo-min-ez but today at EB I heard someone say Lu-my-knees or something...

I think I pronounce it Loom-ins. But I've never said it out loud before.

It looks like it should be pronounced loo-mines, but it's been confirmed to be loo-min-ess.

Btw, lumen is an SI unit for measuring light, which is where the name of the game came from.

this is correct...luminous...at least that is how the game creator pronounced it in an interview

On IGN, there's a video interview (http://media.psp.ign.com/media/704/704774/vids_1.html) with Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the creator of Lumines. He pronounces it loo-min-ess, like in luminescence. I always thought it was loo-mins before I saw that video.

I have a friend in Latin, and "lumines" is a Latin word for light or brightness, something like that. It's Loo-men-ess.
