Revolution Conspiracy Theroies... THE PLOT THICKENS

Leave it t my fellow Nintendo fanatics to start up and peice together odd conspiracy theories. It doesnt take much thought to peice together the peices and think that Nintendo has something up its sleeve... to be revealed later in E3.

Some "facts" include:

An ongoing "poem" on Nintendo's home page underneath the "Nintendo Press Conference" label. Yesterday is said "Revolution makes a splash"... today it says something like "Revolution sinks like a stone".

A lot of what that Aries guys said has become true... including backwards compatibility for 20 years and that we would be disappointed in Nintendo... Nintendo pulling a "prank" on consumers.

A cryptic article posted on the official Nintendo site hinting that the Revolution is indeed playable behind closed doors.

Videos on the Ninty e3 website (which I saw) before E3 that showed various Nintendo officials planning out things for the entire week... including something big on Thursday.

The truth is now that the 3rd pillar will be in place they can show how all 3 systems are actually each a of piece of the triforce. Once linked together they will start to glow gold and do all these amazing things that no one ever believed possible before.

On a serious note....we all know that Nintendo has something up its sleeves. It would be nice if that something is really revolutionary enough to put a dent in the PS3's armor. I'm at least excitied and open to the possibilities.

All taken together, I think there might be more credence to this "Nintendo On" than we have been led to believe. Nintendo has filed a flurry of patents in the last few months. I see patents for Video Game Distribution systems, Creating and playing soundtracks, detection of signal loss, wireless game control units, the list goes on...

Keep in mind, this patent was filed 11/23/04 right around when the DS launched.

The present invention is directed to a game system that displays a 3-D game screen and a 2-D map screen for representing a 3-D game space. The present game system includes a 2-D map screen display control section, a cursor operating section, a first cursor movement control section, a 3-D game screen display control section, and a second cursor movement control section. This one, the tactile devices, was filed by immersion corporation. The same company that provided the rumble pak for the N64, and the rumble feature for the GCN.

They also sued MS and Sony for implementing rumble without licensing. MS settled, sony lost... I'll find the link.

When we heard the gyro controll rumors, we thought it would be cool to essentially have 2 gloves or parts of controller, like pictured, that would have buttons and such, but could then be twisted around as well to controll things. I actually like those pictures, even though their prolly fake.

I was accually thinking more of a conventional controller thats split into 2 but are connected by a ball so they can move independant from each other but still feel like a normal joystick

I think the reason IGN and GameSpot have not put up a section for the new Nintendo system is because it doesn't have an official name yet.

I was following this conspiracy throughout Wednesday, but neglected to post until someone else brought it up. But it seems like Nintendo has created the most successful viral marketing yet. Not only did everyone know about it, but everyone followed the different aspects, and quickly wrote them off. #1 First off, its strange how the registrant of the site is

that the guy who is running this site ripped it from the video
since the dates of the Revolution Mock Up Video and the
website's update on the MP3 are exactly the same. Also I have
heard from a couple people that both the video and MP3 was
released on the internet at the exact same time.

#4 Notice how the first paragraph of the 2nd page of the website,
the author is talking about Nintendo at E3. Notice how he says
"my eyes are hurting" out of the blue. Does this have anything
to do with the Mario Eyes on IGN and the Reggie Eyes on the
nintendo.com website? Also, Reggie said something about checking
the Nsider forums, notice how Link's eyes are at the top.

#5 At the bottom of the 2nd page of the website, there is a small
jigsaw puzzle piece. Diddnt Iwata mention something about
"puzzle pieces" during the confrence?"

#6 Look at the video of the Nintendo E3 confrence. Notice in
the background on the huge screen, they constantly show a picture
of Link pulling a chain of the people's names. Now check out
the "Congratulations Images!" in the Super Smash Bros. 3 website.
That same picture of Link pulling the chain can be found on a
picture of like 10 diferent Links and there is one pulling the
chain.

#7 Now look at the Pokemon page. Now look at Jirachi, he is
the ONLY one that is colored orange. I still cant figure this
one out and neither can my friend. If anyone finds out, please

It diddnt take long to find out all these clues. I searched around
and had more people search the site with me, and this is what we came

I know a lot of you have been waiting for my third and final installment of the "=Next Gen=" articles, and I have decided that now is when the time is the ripest.

Instead of going on and on for pages and pages, I will give you a quick summary of things here, and then direct you to my website where you can browse all sorts of speculations and information. I will be updating the website as I get more articles written.

In quick summation:
Aries is real. I'm guessing he's Yamaguchi (or at least a translator for Yamaguchi).
"Nintendo On" is real.
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connect will blow Xbox Live out of the water.
Zelda: The Twilight Princess will launch late October/Early November, 2005.
The home console (N5) revealed at E3 will launch late 2005 and will be under $200.
The N5 is only a more advanced Game Cube with awesome on-line play.
The "Revolution" is a DVD Burner + HVD Player + VR simulator and will launch 2006.
The "Revolution" will connect to both the GCN + the N5.
Mario 128 will be for the GCN & the N5 and use the Revolution's features.
The Revolution's controller will come in two parts and will work with the Environmental Capture Eye on the "Revolution".
The footage of Metroid Prime 3 shown at the E3 was stereoscopic

EDIT - I especially like the idea about the "current Revolution" just being a cheap, superpowered GCN that will launch this year. It is not unlike Nintendo to just update old hardware...

Here is my theory:

We are currently EXPERIENCING the Nintendo Revolution DEMO. This isn't just marketing, this was Nintendo's way to break the boundaries and show you first hand what a shift in paradigm really means.

Think about it, we are playing a game right now. Iwata and Reggie are playing a "puzzle game" with us. The console does not exist, the interface is not a controller.

The medium is video, websites, forums, news leaks, speculations. The platform is ourselves - or rather, our brains. This is beyond a game isn't it? This is a growing living entity that resides in each of us, that we are experiencing as part of our real lives and is unique for all of us. Attention. Those are the two easiest "debunked" coincidences. Yes, anyone could have said SSB Online at launch, but then there is all the other stuff. And he discredits the Square announcement because "only" a FF:CC online game has been announced. What does he want? Thirty games announced? That's probably the first third party game officially announced! Besides, look at SquareEnix's President's comments about the Revolution. It is more than obvious that this is where Square sees videogames heading in the future - where Nintendo is taking us...

I think the creator of the Nintendo ON video was found out and it was some guy from Spain who created the video to show the kind of gaming system he thinks would be good. Supposedly it is a kind of "protest video" that he did to state how he was unhappy with gaming today.

He has supposedly made some other videos that are really high quality as well.

BTW, the Nintendo HD-DVD media picture was shown to be a fake as was the pic of Miyamoto with the "helmet" on.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. The stuff that Aries said has been true so far so we'll see if he just made a bunch of educated guesses or if Nintendo really does have something more coming.

i don't really care if the xbox360, ps3 or even revolution have dual core 9.10ghz death processors, if they produce more halos, devil may cries, and the lot, it's the same old shit.

at least in this past 24 hrs, i've been actively engaged in a conversation hoping to solve a puzzle. really think about it, if this is a big orchestrated marketing job, it's amazing.

It's someone filming a screen. The screen has the Revolution we saw on Tuesday. Then it zooms into the |/O button, but specifically the "O" part (which looks like the "O" on the "On" button). and you see a Revolution and an On spinning towards you. It's very short.

Well, after a cool history-of-Nintendo/look-at-all-the-castles-from-Mario-64 opening, it presents an incredibly complicated brain + visor gadget. The visor offers you a stereoscopic screen that replaces the TV (remember the diagram from Tuesday's conference showing how the TV, console, controller and internet all went together?), and the visor sends positioning signals to the brain as you move around in front of it. So, you know, you walk around, Samus walks around. Basically the Virtual Boy + the Track Pad and/or Power Glove. The video looks super professional, and I have a hard time believe it was a piece of fan art. The video also harps on the right/left brain thing that Reggie discoursed on last Tuesday.

There were all these rumors Sega had a big announcement a year or two ago. It was called teh megaton. People specualted tehy would re enter the console market.

It never did materialize. The biggest thing Sega announced was Matrix online and everyone was disappointed.

So if this is like Megaton and becomes just a "matrix online 2" it would be disappointing....

It's pretty obvious it's just a Cube. Look at it. Circle logo on the top, controller ports on the left, vents on the right. Nothing to see here, move along.

well I will say I think it got bigger than anyone expected.

If they had planned something mediocre I would have backed down from all the hype that had built up and showed nothing and acted like they were not a part of it.

Well, what's irreducible here? What do we know for sure?

% We definitely saw the word ON prominently displayed during this last press conference. I had never heard of NintendoOn until I saw what I will refer to as the brain video. Likewise, we find it curious that on.ign.com, nintendoon.com, etc., refer to ign.com, which (via GameSpy) has a major new partnership with Nintendo.

% Likewise, Reggie used the left brain/right brain metaphor in his E3 presentation, echoing a line from the brain video.

Those are two connections, and they're both tenuous. Everything else is more ethereal than even that.

Something else to keep in mind: We won't find out what's going on the second this supposed secret conference starts. It'll take some time for it to finish, and I'm sure Nintendo would have people turn off their laptops and cameras and whatknot, so they wouldn't be able to report while it's in-progress. I just thought of one last major thing, and it involves what I think may be one last grain of truth from Aries. See, already, it seems that some people are doubtful of anything happening, and that they are giving up already. But remember what Aries said: According to him, Nintendo is going to pull the prank of the century. The ultimate punk. A mind-bending trick of "The Game"-like proportions.

Perhaps everything we've heard, including some of the stuff Miyamoto mentioned in that interview lebowsky linked, is all part of some magnificent plot to throw us all off guard, and catch us then. A carefully orchestrated web of lies, all leading up to some sudden revelation that completely blows away everything we know.

Keeping in mind that something like that could be true, I won't count anything out. Anything could happen.

Yeah that is what I was thinking after reading that.

I'm pretty happy with the news so far anyway. We know we will have old school games and most likely some sort of a typical controller to play those games which I know was a big concern for some. It leaves room to have new normal games as well as whatever the revolution is.

The price will be right.

Nintendo doesn't want any copycats out of the gate so they have to hold back for a little bit. They are putting a lot of faith into this so I'm thinking it has to be something even halfway decent or different for them to take this path. Now comes the hard part.....waiting to see what it is.
