I'm sure there are a few more.

Anyone else getting sick of seeing the same topics over and over? We seem to have at least 4-6 different threads going all talking about "How much is ______ system going to cost?!?" It's getting a bit out of hand IMO.

Which is why people shouldn't be allowed to start a thread until they've reached a certain number of posts. It tires me to wade through that crap.

I think that's elitist bullshit, newbs should be allowed to start threads...quite a few good deals have come from newbs, I'd say.

I feel the sheer amount of threads in regard to the topic, is overkill, but the subject however is worth the discussion. A purchase of all three systems would estimate at around a 1000 dollars, big bucks for any poor, middle class man, especially when my car alone is making my paycheck mere quaters to the dollar

Which is why you sell the outdated PS2, GC and/or Xbox (whichever combination you have), before they come out. You got to love backwards compatibility

Well in the future when you see this happen, PM a mod with all the thread links and ask if all the threads can be merged into one, with a title like: "Master Revolution Cost Thred, please put all posts about system, games etc. here".

Normally after an official thread is made people are better about bumping it than creating a new thread.

Aha, but i can garuntee you the money from selling all three systems would likely be <$200 seeing as how, everyone and their brother will be selling their's, and GS won't give shit for em, then

I have to agree to a degree, but it's getting out of hand lately. Seems like if it's not this subject it's anything else related to "Is ______ system better than ______ system". /rant

True, but if you think this is bad take a quick look at gamefaqs.;)

I simply think now might be a good time for someone to try to get a few official topics set up before even more of these pop up. I for one am far to lazy.

There really should be an official topic for this with the other ones being locked.

if a thread is clearly named, it doesn't matter. i knew this thread would contain no information, even if i couldnt get the point just by holding the cursor over the topic.
its not like stupid threads (or posts) occupy some real estate in your mind, knocking out relevant facts such as what the latest price on god of war is, the days left until the next ddd sale or the design of a nextgen console.
do people get sick of seeing the same signature over and over again with ever person's post?

to me anyway, there are far greater annoyances than seeing duplicate threads, and within the 1st 5 replies of any 99% of the dupe posts, something uselessly says repost, or sometimes, slightly more usefully posts the original thread link

Uh huh. Name one.

The Circuit City "buy 2 $20 games and get them for $10" deal/glitch was posted by a brand-new member. He was savaged for many pages, until people found it was true and then it was "I'm sorry, thanks OP!"

Report the offending thread to a mod and let them do their job.

Agreed. Post count does not mean anything when it comes to finding/posting deals. I am sure there are instances where people with very high post counts haven't posted a single deal on this site. On the other hand you may have a "newbie" who may ONLY post deals and stays out of the OTT.

OK, I stand corrected. Still, calling me an "elitist bastard" wasn't very productive. I mean, it's not like I think someone's post count determines their worth as a human being. I've been on the boards for quite a while now and I'm a long, long way from hitting 1,000. I'm just trying to think of a way for the boards to be more efficient. Sorry for caring!
