$8 off shipping is a great deal but your selling some ancient (relatively) items. 3G iPods aren't even seen anymore, much less 2G iPods. If they were newer, I might pick one up but good luck anyways.

I hadn't realised there was a big difference between generations, just another was for Apple to fleece consumers.

more like giving consumers more choices. purchase of new products isn't compulsory rather encouraged.

Actually, there is a difference. First of all is memory space. Second of all, 1G and 2G iPods are Mac only. Third of all, the old iPods are bigger in size. Fourth of all, the audio quality vastly improves with the newer versions (Most notably 4G). Fifth of all, battery life is excellent in 4G, great in 3G, all right in 2G and bad in 1G iPod. Last of all, the headphones are much better with the newer generations. Technology improves with time.

For those bidding, beware the battery life on this model...3-4 hours tops.

Uhhh...I don't know about that. I still have a 1st gen 10GB model that I get 7-8 hours of battery life on after several years of use.
