Saw these at Goodwill and they caught my eye because ive never heard of or seen them before.
They were the PS1 Sony grey, two flight-sim type sticks, and the rest of the buttons in an arcade style layout.
Tried to find some info on them on the net and ebay to no avail.
Are they rare/limited production? Because im pretty sure the DC/Saturn ones are.
Any info would be appreciated, mostly just to satify my curiosity.

It's rather rare in terms of accessories...I'd say go for it.
You are talking about the official Sony ones right? I'm not even sure if a third-party company produced these, but I'm just double-checking.

I've got 2 of these sticks. Think its official name is the Sony Dual Analog Joystick. They're compatible with the earlier PS1 titles. It should say on the back of the game if it is or not. I've found a few games that aren't marked as Dual Joystick compatible that are though, such as Treasures Of The Deep (which plays great with the sticks) and Assault on Namco Museum vol. 4. Off the top of my head, I know Mechwarrior 2 and Wing Commander IV are compatible. Can't think of any others.
I say buy it. Kind of like a poor mans Steel Battalion controller. They are pretty fun to mess around with the right game and pretty hard to find too.

Well crap, I didn't know these were that rare. I found two of them for 5 bucks boxed on clearance at an FYE and didn't buy them cause I didn't feel like carrying them to my car,
