I haven't bought a PSP yet either but i think when Tales of Destiny comes out is gonna be the time i bite the bullet and pick up a psp.

When i first heard about the new mario game comming out i new it would cause me to buy a ds... i've been waiting for a new mario bros. game for way too long.

When i first heard about the new mario game comming out i new it would cause me to buy a ds... i've been waiting for a new mario bros. game for way too long.

I caved on the PSP last week when HSG came out (I knew I would). No regrets at all - I love that game. Plus, Lumines owns my soul at the moment. I don't see how people get these insane scores - I'm at 76,000 and I thought I was good. I don't think I fully understand it yet though because a lot of it seems like luck and I don't plan ahead at all like I do in Tetris. I must be getting better though because my score keeps going up...

As for Mario, it's been about a 14 year wait - it's long overdue and the footage looked really really good. Hopefully they can deliver a long and challenging experience.

What's more surprising is a game that I heard very little of before, and now is on par with Zelda for my most anticipated game of show. I am talking, of course, about Okami. All the hands-on previews I've read say it plays as good as it looks, and for my money it's the best looking game of this current generation.

Special mention goes to Shadows of the Colossus; a game that is full of potential, but I'm still a little on the fence about. I love the simplisitc concept and amazing visuals, but the videos I've seen of climbing the beasts look rather boring actually. Still it is something to keep my eye on, and could really be something special.

Zelda, of course, Mairo Kart/ Viewtiful Joe DS, for XBOX PoP 3 looks awesome. The DS had a really strong showing, makes me want to get one. And can't forget Advance Wars Dual Strike! And animal crossing online.

Because, at the time, it was considered to be the greatest CG animation ever. It was a way to please the fans while simultaneously showing that things that previously wowed the masses as CG can now be done in real time.

I'd say I like Zelda the best, but there weren't any other games really vying for my attention. Shadow of the Colossus looks good, but I don't know anything more now than I did at the beginning of the week, so it didn't get me excited. Gears of War looked good and was the only next-gen title to catch my eye, but who knows what will come of any next gen title. Then there's the slew of DS crap I wanted, like Mario & Luigi, Trauma Center, and Mario Kart, which I knew about before. And they didn't really give us shit about Lunar DS, so that's out of the running too.

I thought this'd be the greatest E3 ever, what with three new consoles being unveiled rapid-fire before the show even started. However, nothing excited me like last year's E3 did. As a whole, I find it disappointing.

Wow, a lot of people saying the Mario DS game will make them buy the handheld. I thought that game looked like crap! I thought Nintendo should have made an original Mario platformer for GBA long ago, but this is not what I had in mind. The only thing that could make me buy DS is Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

I played a demo of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks at the Midway room and have to say this is an awesome game. Sure the graphics can use some serious polishing, but the controls and gameplay just plain rocks. MK fans will love it.

You can play as either Liu Kang or Kung Lao and many of other MK characters appear in the game, including Reptile, Cage, and Baraka. There is also a Ko-Op mode where 2 players can go at it together, although for the time being this is not online-enabled.

Weapons, fatalities, and interactive environment (you can grab an enemy and toss them to break a wall in order to reveal a room's exit, for example). and even projectiles you can pick off the floor (skulls, severed head of Ed Boon, etc.) are all here.

Many of the rooms have hidden secrets, like objects that you can punish your enemies with by knocking them onto it. Tossing enemies off the bridge into the pit... you can also perform Fatality in the middle of a fight as soon as your Fatality meter fills up with each successive attack.

I also saw a 70% complete version of "24". The character model for Jack Bauer looks photo-realistic from a distance, but the gameplay doesn't look like it's really there - the controls are a bit clumsy and not too intuitive. My friend tried to drag the body of someone Jack just shot, and the body pulled an Elasty Girl - the arm started strenching out from one end of the hallway to the other end. :rofl:

Soul Calibur 3 plays fast and furious. Although it's 3D, it plays almost as fast as most 2D fighters. I'll certainly get it when it comes out.

Zelda, for the obvious reasons.

Shadow of the Colossus looks interesting, and reminds me that I need to pick up Ico at some point, and Ill need a PS2 (or maybe PS3!) for that.

Mario DS looks really good. Its all the more disappointing just thinking about how much time they wasted with the GBA. I would have loved a GBA Mario, but at this point, I cant imagine them even trying. But Mario DS looks like its taking characteristics from a couple of games in the series, at least SMB1 and SMB3. And I was really intrigued by the Kirby game. Add to that a new Mario Kart, and for the time being, DS has an edge over PSP. I dont know if its enough for me to get a DS.

Big thumbs down to 24. I didnt even realize it was at E3 until CG posted about it. I'll steer clear of this, maybe theres hope that the writers can work with a VG company to create a compelling story.

Others that I liked were Okami, VJ DS, and Black.

Tabula Rasa, Gears of War, Starcraft Ghost (not the game, the *multiplayer*, omg), Nintendogs, and Odama (twenty seconds of, "wtf, rofl!!" *point and laugh*, *mock mock mock*...followed by, "wait...wait a minute...that's...kinda...cool. I am definately going to wind up playing this..." *stops mocking and is impressed* ) If anyone missed it they had this clear plastic clip they had to attach the microphone to the controller, where's that now? heh, Very smart idea.

I'm looking foreward to Chrome Hounds, Mechassault 2 was a big letdown, its not as good as Mechassault 1 (even though I still play Mech 2). Hopefully they can pull this off, its supposed to be as realistic as Steel Battalion without the big controller, and as customizable as Armored Core. Its from the same developer as Armored Core, but its going to be a completely different game. Very big and slow mechs.

James Bond: From Russia with Love was really good.
Super Mario Strikers was the most fun game at E3, i loved it. Its going to be a great multiplayer game. Very fun.
