Because they're using trademarked characters and whatnot without Square's permission and Square wouldn't profit?

If people are going to attemp something like this they should at least keep it under wraps until a playable version is ready. Annoucing it to the whole world before it is playable will assure it of being killed.

Looked pretty cool. I just hope square makes something set in that same world and not the chrono cross world.

Why didn't they just host this project on a website based in a country that doesn't pay attention to American and Japanese copyright laws? Problem solved!

Look, think about it. We got endearing characters, a wonderful battle/magic system, and a fantastically well-written and cohesive storyline. Clearly superior to all!
