There's a yard sale by me, so I had to go take a look and see if there were any old school games out there. I asked, the lady said "No, but I've got an Atari 2600 in my shed. It works, and there are 20 games for it. I made my kids keep the boxes and instructions, too." I don't know what the games are, but assuming it works, has hookups, and it's all in at least fair condition, what would you pay for it? I'm trying to decide if I should pick it up.

Uh...well...depends on the games. Being particularly dedicated to old-school collecting, myself, I would say that, if the boxes and manuals are all in particularly good shape, that I could talked into $30 or even $40...

What are some good games that I should be on the lookout for then. Off the top of my head, I know to avoid E.T., but that's all I got.

I never had or got to play a 2600.

Oh, jeez...a lot. Really, my policy on 2600 games, is that usually, they're so cheap, you should just go ahead and buy 'em. Cart only 2600 games often sell for a song, more or less, so just buy whatever sounds interesting. That's my personal advice.

I can at least tell you to avoid 2600 Pac-Man.

Get it. For $30-$40 it would be worth it. Worse comes to worse, I am sure someone here will buy it.
