If you have an edge card and use cag15 you can get it for like $27.xx. I know you said you'd rather buy it in store but this is a better deal.

What the hell? EbGames doesn't even have it on their site anymore! Damn it, looks like you were right, its become too rare! OMFGZORZ!!
It seems there better deals on Ebay - I could probably get a copy for less than 30 (prolly between 15-25)

I got it up from gamesuniverse.com last month for $24.99. They might be out of stock now though.

It is so much better then the first one. I got it the day it came out. I love the series. 2nd one is better then the 1st cause when you join someone they remember that you are a member of there clan. and much more makes the 2nd one better. worth $50 IMO

I have to agree. Don't do it, for your sake.

There is no hope for this game to drop its price, is there? I saw at my local CompUSA 2 copies at $40 for months and no one even took a look at them.

I'm not sure if Samurai Western is supposed to be WOTS3 or what. I reccomend checking EB and GS B&M to see if they dropped the price of their 'new' copies.
It is made by the same people but it is more like a spin off.

Samurai Western is as close as they will come to doing WOTS 3.
Spike has moved on to do another ninja game, Shinobido -- I guess they feel it is safe enough to go after Tenchu now that From Soft can't seem to advance the series any further:

WOTS2 and Samurai Western made by the same developer but published by different company (Capcom vs Atlus), hence WOTS2 pricing will not be affected by release of SW. WOTS2 is probably the only game released by Capcom back in 2004 and still hasn't dropped its value yet. Maybe because they are too few to begin with?

Yup.
All 3 games are published by the same Co. in Japan.
BAM!, who seems to have gone belly-up a few months ago published the first one.
Capcom published the 2nd one because BAM! passed on it -- by that time BAM! was well on the road to going out of business and barely hanging on.
WOTS 2 did so bad for Capcom, that they passed on Samurai Western, thus Atlus picked it up.

I'd try to find it during the Gamestop Buy 2 Get 1 Free used game sale.
Even if there isn't anything else you wanted, you could always pick up two other games and sell them, recovering the cost if you know what will sell well.

I liked way of the samurai 1 more for some reason. I rented the second one and it just didn't feel the same. Oh well.

WOTS1 is just not very appreciated in the states -- it really is a great game -- a cross between a Kurosawa film and GTA3. Funny to think it was developed at the same time as GTA3.
Both games allow free exploration within a cohesive world, with compelling stories to move the action forward. Where GTA3 and WOTS1 diverge is in their narrative. Ultimately WOTS1 is only meant to last about as along as the Kurosawa films it is emulating and is thus limited in scope and freedom, while GTA3 is less structured and more expansive.
When u can appreciate its attempt at emulating the structure of film, subsequent play-throughs become an exploration to discover diverging paths. I think if Amercian gamers weren't so obsessed with FAQs and cheating, the game could have been enjoyed more for what it was.
