i've seen most stores like EB or Gamerush won't take old ps2 or xbox games of madden or nhl or mlb for trade in credit. is there any store that will take any game or what is the best way for me to get rid of these old games? i have about a half dozen of them going back to 2001. serves me right for buying every year.

EB (or was at Gamestop?) once had a trade in deal where they took ANY game, and you got some sort of a deal for trading in 3 or 4 or something like that.
I unloaded a ton of sports games, from 2002-2004 at that sale. They might have one again, some day.

Wherever you trade them in, you can't even expect pennies on the dollar for them....you might as well try a pawn shop.

You're better off just keeping them, or giving them away. Nobody will want to buy them. If they do, you'll get maybe 10 cents for em.

Why not donate them? Kids in need won't care if the teams are 3-4 years outdated.
Donating them is a really good idea. I've never even thought of that. To what could someone donate video games though?

When you ebay stuff, throw those in as bonuses - I'm sure you'll find a sucker who thinks they are getting a deal by getting an extra game or two.

My BB Gamerush took NHL99, NBA98, and Madden 2000, all for PS1 in that "trade three get a used game for cheap" special deal. I believe that they calculated the trade value individually at $2-3 each. It's worth a try to bring it in, because I think YMMV.

pawn shops.. you might not get the best deal.. but its better than what EB or GS would give... (going by what they sell current gen games at mine (around 10-15) i'd expect for PS2 or XB they'd give roughly 4 dollars tops for them.

Try Blockbuster..If you could slip in two older sports game with a newer game and if the employee is not that knowlegable you could get that trade 3 games and get any game for $5.00

Most pawn shops employees aren't knowledgable about games, but even they know that nobody wants Madden 2002, and will give lower prices on it.
Not to mention they are probably stocked full with it. Tried to gets rid of some sports games there before... some pawn stores simply refused them, others offered only about 50 cents for each one.
