Im getting DRE, help

Im playing RE4 and usually when i go into a new room or exit out of the the item screen it cant read the disk. But when i open then close the door it works. Is my cube taking a crap on me? Is there anything i can do?

Are you sure it's not the disc?...Because when I read the topic title on the front page I was certain it was about the PS2.

nope,just tried 4 other games and its still saying it,and im pretty sure its the gamecube and I didnt 6 bad games

That seems like the safest bet. I would be hesitant to open up any system unless you really know what you're doing.

If ya can't fixes it... just buy a new 1, they are mad cheap now and come with 2 free games @ eb...
