Blockbuster pre-viewed street sale 05/28 YMMV

I was told by a manager that my 3 local blockbusters are going to have a street sale with huge discounts on their previewed dvds/vhs/games.

I went to Blockbuster the other night. I saw Ghost Recon 2 with a preplayed seal on it, but no price. So I took it to the cashier and had her scan it. The price was....$49.99

I don't know, I thought it was amusing to say the least.

She probably told you the retail price by mistake. When a BBV employee runs a status to check a price on an item it lists several prices, including MSRP, blockbuster's new price, preplayed price, what they give in credit, etc. Probably just a dumb employee.

I figured that. I didn't argue or anything, I just said thanks and put it back.

The current Memorial Day flier advertises a buy 10 for $25 sale on all used games $4.99 or less. Any 5 PS1 games for $15. And buy two new ps1 games get one free. There is also a list of about 50 new games for $10 that are part of the sale.

From what I heard, the sale started 5/20 but the actual "sidewalk" part starts friday. The deals are going on now, they'll just move them all outside on Friday for the holiday weekend. Not suree what the DVD and VHS deals will be, though.
