Timesplitters is the cheapest and best FPS for mulitplayer...But XIII is even cheaper at EB and it's a very solid/good-looking game.

I second Red Faction (also should be 5 bucks). Although I've only played Timesplitters 2, not 1.

Time splitters 2 may be a bit more but you are getting a lot more bang for your buck

You can get a copy of XIII for next to nothing. You could probably even pay with magic beans.

Kill.switch if like military based. Can't go wrong with Timesplitters though.

Does Timesplitters 2 have the map editor function, like the first game did? That's always fun.

I don't think you can play m.p. on Red Faction, only split-screen with 2 people. But that game is sweet, too. The campaign is pretty cool.

I've always been a huge fan of the Serious Sam game.

Yep, it does. And it's still a lot of fun to make new maps.

For the OP, I'll be the tenth or so person to recommend Timesplitters 2 and XIII. Both are really fun games. TS2 has better multiplayer (though it's still feels like an updated version of Goldeneye/Perfect Dark). XIII has a fun single player storyline, multiplayer, and it's pretty much the cheapest game on PS2.
