Haha, I'd like that too, but it's never gonna happen. There's not enough an installed fanbase to be offering free anime mags, especially when these mags are so expensive as it is.

Here's how free subscriptions work. Sponsors will pay for your subscription for one year. Advertisers will see that a magazine has a significant number of subscribers and purchase ad space to advertise products. If you liked the mag enough, you'll likely renew for a low price, $20 at most for a year. Advertisers will want to advertise more in that mag, and will continue to do so as subscription numbers increase. So everyone - the magazine publication, you the subscriber, and advertisers - wins.

Now let's take Newtype for example. It's roughly $90 a year. No one will sponsor you a subscription knowing that you likely won't resubscribe at such an exorbitant price, so ads would prolly be more expensive to produce, and Newtype would attract less customers and advertisers than gaming mags.

Of course, this is all just theoretical. I'd love to eat my own words if someone could find a free sub. :)

I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that if you are already hooked into a deal it will reject you . . . I couldn't connect on PSM . . . but I'm in on it from a few months ago. Otherwise, I have a feeling that it doesn't matter what you input.

Okay, he chose Retail, then kept choosing either other, specialty, or toys and games. He doesn't remember what order, but just look for those options. He used to have a retail job selling games, so he just went off of that. It may not be working due to the availability of the magazine. Hope that helps. :)

I have received several mags from freebizmags...gaming and others. Overall, I would say that they are reputable. Like others have said, you just have to get the right combo on the questions they ask, or use other names in your family...and then in 6-8 weeks the mags show up.

I've never seen a GI free subscription, but they're the best gaming mag IMO, so even I would pay money to renew my sub.

BS. The FF7/8/9 PS2 ports/remakes are never going to happen. Square has said it a dozen times. That's probably completly unfounded speculation on GI's part, trying to stir people up with something that they totally made up. I don't like that magazine...it's run by frikkin Gamestop...so I don't trust it.

Go online and contact every mag that you have to tell them that you've changed your address. Although the post office should be sending them to your new address. I had to do the same thing a while back when I moved, and I have to do the same thing when I go off to school...

I have a question about changing addresses for magazines. I'm going to be leaving on the 18th for college and won't get there for a few days. My roommate will be getting there on the 20th. When should I change the address to our apartment? How long will it take them to update their systems to actually send it to my new apartment?

I get OPM at the end/beginning of each month, the other game mags around the middle. As for Rolling Stone, it comes every other Friday, usually, and Sporting News usually somes every Friday.

actually, you will start receiving 2 (and after you receive your 2 mags in one month) you just call customer service and tell them you signed up for another year through a website (they will check your account and see that you ARE receiving 2 mags) tell them instead of getting 2 each month, you want to add a year to your existing account. That is what happened to me with XBN when I clicked on that same link and signed up over 2 months ago.

Well I've signed for countless free mag subscriptions, and all of them have added to my subs, extending them to 2010 and whatnot. It should extend your sub if you used the same info as before. If not, call customer service and have them transfer it over.

It depends on the magazine too. I know I have most of these mags until 2007 and most offers just add on since it is automated. I had one cancel on me because I submitted another free offer months later but I called customer service and they fixed it. All in all, I would never complain even if I didn't get an issue.

I signed two months ago too for the 4 years subs for both and I just starting getting stuff. Just check the magazine database to make sure you are in it. Then send customer service an email about missing issues. That usually fixes it.

Freebiz is ok . . . the DVDs are only given out to the first 100 who respond . . . good luck. I've gotten many, many mags from them. Tips and Tricks and XBN and EGM. Many for my wife.
