Yes, just like the coupon page, this will be updated regularly.
The reason why I leve the dead links up with a little note next to them is that the deals usually come back.

My guess is that some people will test out the dead deals from time to time and we will discover that deals are back on.

I did. Last week The Wallstreet Journal began arriving each morning at my doorstep. I also started getting Barrons and Cigar Afficianado.

Those were part of that Skymiles for Subscription offer they sometimes listed. Hopefully some of my other choices will begin arriving.

Even when you PAY for a new subscription you still have to wait 6-8 weeks. In the past and even now when I subscribed to one the wait is the usual 6-8 weeks.

Basically they are telling you that it will take 2 months for them to get off their lazy ass, put your name and address on a mag and send it to you. Not to mention that it is way easier than that cause they use computers to do all that stuff so it is just a matter of putting your info into the database and click.

Actually the few times I've paid for a subscription I've gotten it fairly rapidly. The key for that is to go directly to the source and not via some publishers outlet, or other service that sells subscriptions. If you go those routes, obviously it'll get hung in the administration process, just like the administration process that compounds with the complimentary subscription (hence why I'd actually be surprised when I start revieving anything).

a great way to check is to go to the magazine's website, and check you status there..usually they have a way to enter you email and then you can see when you issues will arrive and when it'll expire..
I signed up for a few mags in early aug and it says on all the sites to expect my mags first week of nov..

If you look towards one of the last handful of pages of OXM, there's a lil box that says you can order their demos for a dollar a month if you call some number. You might wanna give that a try...

Many many people have got these free subscriptions and havent reported anything like that. I havent heard anyone with the gamepro one complain about a bill yet. I have heard no problems with Freebizmag and its magazine deals.

Gamepro sucks because: late reviews and its reviews are small and short. There must be more reasons...that doesn't mean I dont read it:). It's free so I can't turn that down. I agree with you bmac, the console-specific mags prophesizes their consoles like missionaries do to religion. The only good one I've read is Macworld (or something like that..I don't have a Mac) cuz they don't diss on their rival, the PC.

I started to get it last week. It took a good 10 weeks minimum, but more like 12-14 weeks to get it. It's scheduled to be 2 years, but I started with the DEC 03 issue and it runs to OCT 05.... so I missed out on 2 :/

What combination of industry and job title did you put in there to get it to offer you that? I was actually fairly honest on the questionnaire and that first menu, and the blasted thing didn't even give me Sporting News. It gave me "eWeek" instead. I already get "eWeek," and it's the best of these free IT-industry mags I have read [I'm comparing it to InformationWeek and Baseline here], but I would actually want to read more than three pages of FHM and/or Sporting News on a regular basis.

Official Xbox mag lets you order a sub from their site for $24.95, which can't be beat that I've seen on a sub with the disc. Its still that price on the site.

Well, they charged me $29.95 which just happens to be the "standard" price you get if you use the cards you get with an Xbox and in the magazine.

So it stinks. And on top of that there is no way to just e-mail their customer service and the 888 number on the charge on my CC that is only a month old is disconnected.

I thought I was watching my CC statements and I almost missed this one.

all the ones you subscribed to, once your subscription is up cancel it or they will send you a bill the following month...no biggie though, once your subscription is almost up they send you a reminder and advise you to subscribe again, but then again some of them dont so becareful and be aware when your mags are done.

Mrow. Few things.

Firstly, I have on previous occasions gotten free years or two of magazines, and no, they don't charge you when your subscription runs out. Not in my experience, anyway. They send you a note to renew your subscription, and plenty of "THIS IS ALMOST YOUR LAST ISSUE OMG RENEW!!!!!!" but I've never gotten a bill. When it's done, it's done. No worries. Even if they did, they wouldn't automatically charge you- (how could they?), you'd get a note that would remind you to cancel or pay to renew, simple enough, but again, I've never had to do this. But at no time are you charged for your free year, either. No surprise bills, just free magazines, cuz they're cool like that.

Also, if you want to renew your year, and they don't allow you another year free, just sign up at another free link, change your name (even a little) and you'll get it again. Probably a bit unethical, but so are the prices they charge for stuff that ends up as bathroom reading material. ^_~

Also, I know it's not *free*, but this site has a crapload of magazines for ridiculously cheap. Lots of magazines for $2.99 (like Honey! It's like, crackwhore magazine or something), and most of their other subscriptions are WAY under normal rates too. I have ordered from this site before (paid $18 for a typically $80-a-year mag) and received it in roughly 4 weeks, so it's a legit site.)

Actually you can use PayPal to pay for your subscriptions, which is what I do. That's how I came across them- I found their link through PayPal's registered merchants/stores linky thing.
