Not psx, PS2. The new slim PS2 is just screaming for a wide lcd screen. So anyone heard about sony releasing one? planning on it? did they say something at e3 that I missed?? I have seen this one http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=801926
but its a third party, and i dont trust the quality of it... has anyone bought this screen that can offer some feedback on it? Anyway... wtf where is my lcd screen!

I wish someone would just make an attachment to use the PSone scree on the PStwo. I have the screen but no PSone to use it on. I would think that if Sony was going to make one they'd have done it already.
I don't think the PSTwo is small enough to warrant a screen, but I've only seen it a few times, so maybe I'm wrong.

In all seriousness, if you need to play games when travelling I would highly recommend a Gameboy Advance or PlayStation Portable.

a GBA and PSP are great and all but I think it's more a question of people who already HAVE the PStwo who want to play their fullsize games that they've already invested time in. If I have 20 hours invested on an RPG it's a lot different to suggest starting over from scratch on a completly different system that dosent even have the game.
Though I suppose this might be the reason Sony hasnt released an offisial screen, they probably dont want to make the PStwo and PSP compete for portable gaming dollars (and yes the PStwo is very tiny, roughly the size of two dvd cases.)
Also:
Scorch, Yeah I remember that thread but I meant a less "wire intensive" solution, something that can attach the screen to the PStwo the same way it connected to the PSone.

You don't have to start from scratch, you can just play a diferent game until you get home.

A differnt game is okay unless you really wanted to play the game you were playing on the console. But regardless my feeling is that the PSone and two were more specifically designed to be easier to bring to a hotel room of youre grandparents place, somewhere where you might not be allowed to tie up a TV with your games system, not necessarily in the back of the minivan or station wagon. (not all of them have built in screens.)

i have a gba and a ds... this is more about obtaining a portable dvd player for the car than it is a system for the car... im sure if i had it i would use it for gaming too
