Some guy is selling me a supergun for $100 shipped but I dont understand superguns that much but I would like to start but need to know if this is good.

His email:

I have a Hga supergun by Gwtrading for sale. I'm selling this because I'm going to buy a better supergun soon. It works %100, still in great condition because I only bought it a few months ago. This is the 1.2 Standard model so it has svideo and composite output.

HGA 1.2 Standard:

- Main System with test button and power supply
- 2 Joysticks
- Jamma connector

Is this good?

Jump on it! Check the manufacturer's site: www.gwtrading.com

Price? $349.00

As long as it works that's a great deal.

Umm, why are those two arcade sticks called a "supergun?"...

they aren't. The box near them is. It is a way to allow you to play arcade games on your home TV.

and I would jump on that deal, as it would cost you a hell of a lot more to build your own than to buy this. I know nothing of the quality, but if its half decent, it would be a really good buy.

and what type of board hookups do you plan on playing with it (just curious)?

Well I just got wrestlefest and I'm looking into getting a 2 slot mvs board.

you going to get one with the Unibios installed?

you should if you are going to go that way. It will allow you to play MVS games in console mode and has a whole bunch of other features. Aside from the price of games, it is one of the main reasons it seems a lot of people are switching from AES to MVS.

hope everything works out with your purchase (my goal is to try and get a supergun with the 2 slot adaptor or consolized MVS before the end of the summer)

Would getting Unibios installed be more expensive?

yea it probably would. You could probably install it yourself if you were fairly handy

check over at neo-geo.com and the guy named razoola made it. Somewhere there, there is a link to his site where you can download it to an EPROM and it talks a little on how to install it.

it talks of all the features it can do as well

if you are into Neo Geo games (I know you have an AES so you probably are), I would most def. check it out before you get a board, because I know when I get one I want it installed.

actually it makes more sense to have a mvs now as the carts are very cheap in comparison with their aes counterparts.if you want the aes for ease of use and look you can consider getting a phantom which allows mvs games to play on a aes,

personally i would go with a supergun, tho i have a aes atm- your getting a really good deal on the console, the games are cheap (mvs), upgradeable hardware (as i would throw new stuff in those sticks right away) since the box is a basic rgb to svid converter and a amp for audio with jamma integrated - your getting the unit at cost for the parts that built it - good job :)
