I'm looking around and I can get a brand new one for around $125, or should I try to get one for about $150 with a game or two?

Update : Its not really should I get it but rather what deal. I dont have a GBA or any games thats why I asked. The games vary and so far nothing I want. If I do get it for about $125 I still need to either get Mario 64 or a few GBA games so.

I wouldnt buy one until christmas time, there is not a single game yet that is worth buying a new system for. Give it until then and you will have several more choices and the system will probably drop in price.

the system will not drop in price, and if anything the used price will be going up because of all the great games coming out, demand will sky rocket

I doubt it, the game crazy around me they have over 10 in stock. And in a month or 2 the new blue one is coming out. Everyone will wont a new shiny blue ds. I still think the gba sp is the one to get. More bang for my cheap ass buck.

since you do not have a GBA def. get a DS. It is backlit as opposed to frontlit the like the SP which means the picture is brighter, and while there is a difference in price, it is just going to make more sense to pick up the DS because the amount of GBA games has slowed where as the number of DS games coming out is on the rise.

and def. start out with Mario and a bunch of GBA titles that are cheap (mario is a great remake of a classic game). I personally probably spend more time playing handhelds than consoles because of how great the games are and how simple they are to get into and play
