I saw all of these games for $9.99, at CompUSA and Staples. Are any of them worth getting? (I'm looking for stuff to play on my laptop, and these games meet my specs.)
Dungeon Keeper 2
Dungeon Siege
Quake 3 Gold
Master of Orion 3
Tropico Mucho Macho/Stronghold two pack
Temple of Elemental Evil
Mechcommander 2
Mafia
No One Lives Forever 2
Icewind Dale

Definitely get Quake 3. Icewind Dale is a pretty good RPG if you like Baldur's Gate. As for NOLF 2 and Dungeon Siege, I haven't played them myself, but I they've gotten pretty good reviews.

I own all of them except for the mech game, and out of those Icewind Dale and Dungeon Keeper are definately the best. Dungeon Siege is pretty fun online too, especially with the boxing matches.

I'd definitely recommend Icewind Dale. I didn't really like Dungeon Siege much, but that's just me.

The only ones I wouldn't reccomend are Mafia and Temple of Elemental Evil. But if you've never played a Master of Orion game, I wouldn't get 3.

Mafia
No One Lives Forever 2
Icewind Dale
Dungeon Siege: It's a hack & slash RPG with good music & story, AI helps you out & graphics are OK. I personally like it...
Temple Of Elemental Evil: A Troika game which uses D&D rules version somethin'-somethin'. It's a farily slow & involved RPG...I LIKE IT though.
Mafia: Good game! Although the driving my drive you nuts...along the lines of Max Payne type 3rd person action set in the "mafia era".
No One Lives Forever 2: Good FPS. Not a realistic fps if you're into that...but good story, acting, charcters, & "vibe" to it.
Icewind Dale: If you've played Baldur's Gate...you know what this is. Uses the infinity engine & is a little more combat oriented that Baldur's Gate. Isometric RPG...
Now go read some reviews or DL some demos & maike your decision! :)

I enjoyed Dungeon Seige, although I didn't spend a whole lot of time with it. Quake 3 is ok, but I preferred UT. Master of Orion 3 is absolutely horrible. MOO2 was very enjoyable, but MOO3 has a very convoluted interface and I hated every second of it. I usually enjoy 4X games also. I watched someone playing Temple of Elemental Evil and it looked really slow, but if you're into D&D and into that type of RPG, then it's probably worth it. Stronghold I enjoyed also, but I've never played Tropico. I have Mafia for Xbox and it is an entertaining play through.

Dungeon Keeper 2 -- AWESOME game. Though since it's so old, $10 seems a little steep for it. But if you've played Startopia before, this is similar. And if you haven't, then if you like the idea of being the bad guy and building a dungeon full of monsters, it's a great game.
Dungeon Siege -- Eh, I wasn't really wild about it. I hear it's good multiplayer though.
Quake 3 Gold -- If you haven't got Quake 3, you may as well pick it up.
Master of Orion 3 -- Read lots of bad reviews on it, but haven't played it myself.
Tropico Mucho Macho/Stronghold two pack -- Really cool game. If you like vaguely city-building games, you'd probably like it. Also, BEST SOUNDTRACK IN A GAME EVER.
Temple of Elemental Evil -- Really good combat (Basically a perfect version of pen and paper D&D combat), but also buggy and not very role-playish. If you like a good turn based dungeon crawl then it's probably worth it.
Mechcommander 2 -- Haven't played it.
Mafia -- Haven't played it.
No One Lives Forever 2 -- Really neat game. I'd suggest picking it up for $10.
Icewind Dale -- Hmmn... It's one of the more hack and slashy Infinity Engine games, but if you've played other Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment) and enjoyed 'em it might be alright. I wouldn't buy this for $10 though, since you can probably find a pack with it and Icewind Dale 2 plus maybe one or both expansions for fairly cheap.

I can personally vouch for:
Quake 3 Gold: One of the best shooters ever.
Master of Orion 3: Great turn based space strategy. Slow pace.
No One Lives Forever 2: Pretty good FPS. Kind of corny, but whatever.
Icewind Dale: Great RPG.

The best $10 game is Half-Life, it's worth $1000 what with the awesome singleplayer and all of the single and multiplayer mods.

I have played more Quake 3 Arena than probably any other game in my life. It is WELL worth the $10. Fast paced, arcade style action, tons of mods, skins....
No One Lives Forever 2 is worth $10 (my PC doesn't run it well but I was impressed by the game nontheless). I have Icewind Dale and Dungeon Siege but have only played a little of both.

Quake 3 and ID are the best there. I highly suggest Q3A.

No One Lives Forever 2 is awesome! Its one of my favorite PC games. Its basically Austin Powers but your a girl. The action is pretty fast, which I love. Multiplayer is a blast. The whole game is great.
Dungeon Siege was good too. Its like a 3D Diablo. I bought it for $40 many years ago and thought it was worth it. Right now I'm eagerly awaiting Dungeon Siege 2.

Tropico is awesome. I've never played Stronghold, but it would pretty much have to wipe hard drives to make me think twice about telling you to purchase that 2-pack.

Just to be different (and because it's one of the few in that list that I've played), I'd recommend Mech Commander 2.
It's a pretty interesting tactical RTS (I suppose that would be the best categorization). Definitely worth a try.

I've heard good things about Dungeon Keeper 2 but never got around to getting it.
Dungeon Siege is a fun Diablo type game.
Master of Orion 3...stay away, far far away. MoO 2 is one of my favorite games ever. 3 is a horrible abomination of clunky interface that will make you cry.
Tropico was a fun little game so I guess the Much Macho pack must be good.
Icewind Dale was a great hack and slash RPG.

If you've played MoO2 do yourself a favor and don't play 3. It can't hold a candle to 2. A better MoO-like game is Galactic Civilizations if you can find it.
I played Master of Orion 2 and original Dungeon Keeper. Will I like Master of Orion 3 or Dungeon Keeper 2?
