PS2 or PSP?

I wanna buy a Sony game system but I can't decide which would be the better buy. Should a get a PS2 with like 10 games or a PSP with 1. The PSP is portable of course and will have a longer lifespan since it just came out but I am a little paranoid about buying such an expensive system and having it get stolen or have a dead pixel or something like that. I don't think I could really go wrong with either but I only have $300 Max I wanna spend.

I'd go with the PS2 for now, personally. The PS2 has a ton of amazing games are very good prices. The PSP has a small handful at full price.

I play my PSP now more than my PS2.

I guess it comes down is do you want a portable where you can play anywhere or do you have enough time in your life to sit down infront of the TV and play games?
