View Full Version : Guncons and Projection TV

I have a Toshibe 46H83 projection CRT based wide screen tv, and it would appear that the Guncon 2 that comes with Time Crisis 3 is not compatible with my TV (much to my incredible sadness! Luckily, if I overcome laziness, I can bring the unit to my 20" tube tv and it should work fine...but I'm lazy).

Does anyone know, aside from the latest Mad Catz gun that alleges to be compatible with projection TVs, any others that are out there? Or am I perhaps missing a step by connecting the Guncon through the yellow video input, rather than the composite for HD in the back?

Thanks,
Jason

I have not heard of any guns that will work with a projection TV. Where have you seen that Mad Catz gun?

Light guns are tied closely to how a NTSC CRT works. The same game sold in Europe has to be reworked for the timing differences of PAL. A screen that behaves differently breaks the point of reference system.

I bougth this gun a while ago, and just recently got to use it.

It works great, and it's pretty cool looking, IMHO.
Although a lot of my friends think it's flamboyant.

Check out my post history if you're interested in seeing who else bought one.

It's a good gun, and the customer support is PHENOMENAL!
