***This would only be considered to be a significant spoiler by absolutely rabid purists, but I'll warn you anyway***
I just made Paper Mario take advantage of a cheap ass deal! I got an in-game e-mail about a double shop points promotion! Ordinarily, you get one point for every item you buy in shops. When you hit various point totals, you get rewards. For 15 real-life minutes, however, a particular shop was offering two points per item. I raced away from the main quest in pursuit of this deal. I ended up filling up my inventory with 3-coin mushrooms, then immediately selling them all back to the same shop for one coin. I repeated as much as I could during the 15-minute sale. I gained about 150 shop points, kept some rewards and sold others, and made about a 75 coin profit!
It was funny to see my deal-hunting instincts kick in during a game. I suppose the next logical question would pertain to flipping mushrooms a la GameRush. Will Mario get banned from shops for his dubious behavior?
