I assume you are talking about Animal Crossing coming out for DS, right? I can't wait. I play AC on GameCube all the time. When ACDS comes out, I'll be able to play it anywhere.
I'm ridiculously excited about multiplayer. I am buying a DS for Animal Crossing and Nintendogs... Both look amazing.
Oh, and PIRATE HATS!!!!!

you set it out, and then when someone walks over it, they fall in the ground... good stuff if you want to piss someone off in your town, theyll be a lot more funny with 4 people in one town

Yeah, pitfalls are great, but I always avoid using them on my townspeople because I don't want any of them to leave.

well, I think they mentioned something about only people being on your friend list can visit your town. I'm pretty sure if people post the needed information to allow visits between each other, CAGs could play together on AC.
All you need to go online is be in a WiFi Hotspot, or create your own with a wireless router as has been mentioned on other threads. Which can set you back about 20 bucks if you search on amazon.com
I have my DS and DarkeKatt is getting her DS in the EBgames deal buy the DS and get Mario 64 for free. So we both will own a DS.
So as soon as AC comes out, we can just use this thread for our info or make a new one.

yea they have to be on your friends list to be able to visit them. Kind of makes sense considering you probably don't want random people coming to your town and visiting with you

I do have a question though. What can you really do when you visit towns? I mean it's nice and all to go check out someone else's towns and creations...but what else?
Talk....bleh...AC should not be another chat room. Send letters....well always nice to get letters regardless. What else will there be to do? I'm talking mini-games and I want to know if anyone has heard anything about it, or if they will be there at all.
I want to compete with other towns....maybe like yard of the month where your friend and you get judged on how nice your town is...house...yard...whatever.
Anything really....maybe tug-a-war and use the stylus in a one-two-three pull method to win.
Fishing tournaments where your friend can go in and nab the biggest fish and take the trophy to his home town to show it off.
Sure, it'll be nice maybe if you are in a situation where you and your loved one are apart and both get on the DS and AC and maybe look at the fireworks on certain holidays...but what else...wouldn't it be nice to also do a little ass kicking while you're there.

Hell yeah. As soon as I realized there was an axe in the GC version, I wanted to hunt my animal friends for dinner. But seriously folks LOL@Q, I would like to see some more RPGish elements in the game, too. The game's so Zelda-esque already, it would fit right in. I haven't heard anything about minigames yet though :(
