**Updated the list, actually took a few out.
*Sorry this is so long at the end I was surprised it got as long as it did*
Only DS game on my list atm is Mario 64 DS and thats on the bottom since even used its $30. Please let me know if I'm missing anything or if anything on my list sucks. Mario RPG for SNES was never ported over to GBA right? Damn if it wasnt since I never played that game : ( I'm mainly into RPG's and puzzle type games and somewhat strategy games if that helps. Not a fan of fighters or racing games. No any megaman games. When I started this I never thought I'd find so many games that I might want to buy. (I went by the nintendo site). I would have advance wars on this list but I think its too hard for me. Never cared for pokemon.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis
Golden Sun The Lost Age
Black Thorne
Wario Ware - again never played but its a bunch of mini games I guess its good for when you cant play long or you just need to kill 10 minutes?
**Legend of Zelda, The: A Link to the Past / Four Swords - Only thing I have with this now is that I can't touch the 4 swords part as I know no one with a DS.
Legend of Zelda, The: The Minish Cap - I didnt care for WindWaker much but I did enjoy LttP as far as I can remember those years ago heh, I think I prefer the simpler Zelda so I suppose this is a must if I get and like LttP/FS?
Mario 64 DS

Wow I thought I'd have about six games maybe a dozen heh. If you read through the list thanks and I appreciate any feedback.

Get Zookeeper for the DS. It's a fun puzzle game and it's price is usually 20 bucks. And from what I've seen D&D Eye of the Beholder is crap but I'm sure it can suck time away
Boktai is fun... but my boyfriend got burned playing it... try not to stay in the sun too long :-P
If you like RPGs Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls and Breath of Fire are key to any RPGer.

Boktai is AWESOME especially at the prices you can pick it up for now. I'm on my second playthrough right now, the typical comparison is Zelda meets MGS. Dungeon crawler with stealth elements.

Definitely get Zookeeper if you're into puzzlers. Real cheap too. You might however wait till the end of the month and just get Meteos.

Use FREESHIPALL for free shipping, no tax in most states too.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - Good choice, you'll get plently of hours of gameplay from it
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis - I would say the price may be too high unless you're a Tactics Ogre fan, but great game regardless
Golden Sun (The Lost Age if I like it) - Good Original RPG
Fire Emblem (The sequle if I like it) - If you think Advance Wars looks too hard, this is harder since you can permanently loose your troops
Black Thorne - I generally opt for the SNES version instead of paying more for a GBA port, but if you don't have a SNES this is a solid game
*Boktai - Go for it
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls - Unless you like older RPGs or have played it before I would pass, might be too slow for you
Breath of Fire - Same as above, since its another port
Castlevania - They are all great, have RPG elements too.
RiverCity Ransom - Another port, good game but its aged and I would only recommend it to fans. Its like Double Dragon.
Doom/2? - Decent FPS action on the GBA, aged but still good
Duke Nukem Advance - Same as above
Wario Ware - Yes, Get the original, then if you like it get Touched and or Twisted also. You might consider getting Touched over Twisted if you only have a DS, it controls fine on the DS butfeels much better on a GBA
Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder - Dunno much about this, but if you want a lot of animation in your RPGs, you'll probably want to stay away frmo most ports
Legend of Zelda, The: A Link to the Past / Four Swords - The GBA Four Swords portion is multiplayer only I believe (not sure), and you can't link up for GBA games on a DS
Legend of Zelda, The: The Minish Cap - I'd get this over LttP since its an original game and not a port
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - Awesome game
Mario Pinball - Looks great but I've only tried it in stores, if Pinball is your think might be worth pciking up
Metroid: Zero Mission - Good place to start in the Metroid franchise, you get to play an improved(graphically + extras) version of the original. I'd also recommend Metroid Fusion, you can get it for pretty cheap now
Onimusha Tactics - I love this, but I'm an Onimusha fan. Not to say you have to be a Onimusha fan to enjoy it, it just makes it easier to see how everything works. I find it easier than other Tactical games, but it will give you a lot of hours of gameplay.
Phantasy Star Collection - Same thing as I said with the older/ported , if you're not a fan of the franchise you might find it too slow for you
Mario 64 DS - A couple months ago I would have said this is a must have game, but now I'd say wait till its really cheap and use your money for the better original DS games coming

Who needs games? The DS is cool by itself, so take it out for dinner & dancing :D!!

Boktai is a pretty cool little game, though I had the misfortune of picking it up during a fairly dismall winter, so it took me a while to power through it because of lack of sunlight. All-in-all, I enjoyed it and was happy to find a game with such a unique gaming experience.

Dawn of Souls is true retro bliss. If you love old school RPGs, you can't go wrong with FF:DoS.

Zoo Keeper, as has already been established, is a fantastic little puzzler for the price.

So Boktai is real sunlight only? I can't get away with fake?

Skip the Phantasy Star Collection... if I remember correctly, it has really bad freezing and saving bugs in one of the games.

Just wait until they release the updated Phantasy Star Collection for PS2 for 19.99, the GBA port is a mess.

FF 1 + 2 is much more than a simple port... extra dungeons in FF 1 with FF characters from 2-6, and a 10 hour long epilogue in FF 2 make it worth getting. Only 14.99 if you have a Gamerush near you.

RCR EX is great if you're into beat em ups.

Mario Pinball Land, from what I remember, looked good but was very easy, in fact it was too easy. One of my friends said it was a good concept that failed at execution.

Onimusha Tactics is good if you want simple sort of SRPG, which isn't a bad thing at all. It was very cheap at TRU, for awhile. FF Tactics Advance is great, and if Advance Wars is too hard for you, you might want to skip Fire Emblem, as was noted above.

If you've got money to burn and never spent alot of time with the N64, Mario 64 DS is great.

Boktai is an awesome game for it's super low price point.

Other that, I agree with everything else listed above.

I'd consider Feel the Magic in addition to Warioware. FtM is very addictive, and the for the most part, I had a lot of fun with the minigames. Get Warioware first, and if you enjoy it you should try and get FtM (I've seen it for under $20 used).

IMO Castlevania Aria of Sorrow is the GBA's best game, or at least the best original game, not counting remakes of NES and SNES classics. Circle of the Moon is also great, though not as pretty. I enjoyed the first Advance Wars more than Fire Emblem (they are from the same developer and very similar if you didn't know).

One pretty interesting semi-rpg/car game is Car Battler Joe for GBA... nice little game that allows you to customize your own cars...

Here are my opinions, not that it makes a difference...

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - YES.
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis - Haven't played it, so I can't speak for it.
Golden Sun - Wonderful. The sequel is even better.
Fire Emblem - Couldn't get into it. I dunno why, but I just found it boring.
Black Thorne - Haven't played this one either.
Boktai - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls - Definitely pick this one up.
Breath of Fire - The first one is the only one I can recommend. Haven't played the sequels.
Castlevania - Get Aria of Sorrow for sure.
RiverCity Ransom - Your guess is accurate. It's pretty enjoyable.
Doom/2? - Not worth it.
Duke Nukem Advance - Not worth it.
Wario Ware - Fun for a little while. You can easily beat it in 2 hours.
Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder - Haven't played it.
Legend of Zelda, The: A Link to the Past / Four Swords - YES. Get it. Now.
Legend of Zelda, The: The Minish Cap - YES.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - YES. Extremely fun.
Mario Pinball is a game right? - Yes, but it's extremely aggravating. Read IGN's review for clarification. I found most of their complaints to be spot on.
Metroid: Zero Mission - This one is awesome, but you'll want to pick up Fusion.
Onimusha Tactics - Eh, you might like it. Not as good as FFTA.
Phantasy Star Collection - Pass it up.
Mario 64 DS - Played it a little while before I traded in my first DS. The extra stuff really doesn't add much to it, and the touch screen controls are frustrating. I'd vote "no" unless you are really just a hardcore Mario 64 fan.

And there you go. From this list, my top 5 would be:
1) Zelda: Minish Cap/Link to the Past
2) Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
3) Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
4) Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission
5) Final Fantasy 1 & 2: Dawn of Souls

Honorable mentions go to Golden Sun and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. If you can afford them all, by all means get them.
