I was under the impression that it included something called a "Thumbstrap". What is it for and is it supposed to come with all DS systems? Cause I did not get one. My DS came with the system, charger, extra stylus, instruction, Hunters Demo, and wristband thing. Is that everything?

The thumbstrap is on the wristband. Do you see a little black thing on the end of it, that's made of hard plastic? That's the thumbstrap. Umm... You put your thumb in it, and use it on the touch screen. Try it with the Metroid demo; some people actually prefer it to the stylus.

Thanks, I thought that the wristband was also the thumbstrap, but I didn't know for sure. Any recommendations on games? I was thinking of Star Wars Episode III and this Poker game I saw.

Should I get any screen protectors for it? I heard Warioware is very tough on the touchscreen.

yeah, get some screen protectors. I regret not buying them when I first bought my ds, 'cause my screen's all scratched up

The thumbstrap is awkward at first but works extremely well as substitute for the analog stick, IMO. Using it in Super Mario 64 DS is nearly problem free. For the Metroid demo, though, I prefer the stylus.

my ds never came with a wristband. I got my first ds w/ 2 pens and metroid for christmast and then exchanged it because it had a dead pixel. My second ds just came with: charger, system, demo, and only 1 pen. Any way nintendo could send me a wristband or a Thumbstrap?

there is a new pack out for the ds- it has 3 new pens and a redesigned thumbpad that looks worth buying:

walmart has them for around 5 bucks. still waiting for something good to come out for my ds that isn't a port or looks worse then a gbc game. and for those who want a "high end" stylus, i came across this link

So even with the Nintendo stylus the screen gets scratched? Damn. I wish nintendo would have put plastic over the touch screen like they do with new cellphones, then I could just left that on. Any suggestions on screen protectors?
EDIT: As for games I'd say go with Warioware, Super Mario 64 DS, and Feel the Magic.

The touch screen won't get scratched if you keep it clean. The stylus isn't scratching it, it's the gunk you leave on the screen that does it. That said, there's no reason not to get a screen protector. I believe I got the Pelican, it's cheap and doesn't compromise screen quality.
I'm a big puzzle fan, and Polarium didn't do much for me. The puzzle mode was fun, if almost insanely difficult (I only finished 38 puzzles) and I didn't think the touchscreen was sensitive enough for the challenge mode. I ended up trading it in towards Meteos.

the SW ep III game is awesome. Also, yoshi t & g gets boring very fast. I advise you not to get it.
