DDR= Double Data Rate. Basically its twice as fast and twice as much as SDRam, so 512MB of DDR ram is like having 1024MB of SD ram, and the DDR ram runs x2 faster. Plus it uses less power. Thats the lehman(sp?)way to explain it.
