Or do you think at one point your going to stop ? I think I might slow down, I used to play tons of PC games and I gave up on it because it cost too much. But I love console gaming and I still really enjoy my GBA. Also I really do like playing online with people. So I think that gaming will always be a part of my life.

In general I've slowed down a lot (college will do that to you) but as long as Nintendo contines to make Mario Kart games I'll continue to be a gamer.

I get as much thrill from finding great deals, collecting, and just having games in general as I do from actually playing them. I do think about whether this will be another doomed hobby of mine (beanie babies, sports cards), but the interaction I get with video games will probably keep me into them for awhile.

I can see playing them through adulthood (I'm 19), but I don't know if I'll still be playing when I'm in my 70s and 80s.

hopefully we make it to 70's and 80's...that would be great....maybe games are killing us slowly

As long as these hands still work..or my feet. I actually bought a DDR pad so I could play my turn based PS2 rpgs on it and rest my hands.

Yes indeed, a family definitely makes things difiicult. One of my requirements in a someone is that they be a gamer chick, I've dismissed people for as little as not asking me what I'm playing when I whip out my GBA, because really, pretty much anyone will ask.

Raising gamer kids, that would be interesting, we really are the first generation to do such things. I'd give them the NES and ban TV, so thats all that would exist for them, and then as soon as they beat all my NES games, I'd say, 'look at what just came out, its called the Super Nintendo.'

Interesting question.

I've been playing the arcade games ever since I was able to walk. Climbing those old barstools to sit and play Ms. Pac-man.

I do go through phases where I play a lot, then I go through a phase where I play a little. However, I can safely say I"ll be playing them till I'm unable too *old and feeble* :)

Cheers!

It's just a form of entertainment like anything else that's now part of our culture. Would anybody stop watching TV, going to movies, or listening to music? I doubt it.I'll play games until my arthritic hands won't permit me to do so.

When I get to college I will probably try to get into CAL or CPL and make some money off of my skills.

I have been gaming for over 25 years. I usually never play more than an hour or two a day. The only exception was when I had a night job that allowed me to play everquest for 6 hours. I guess that is what has kept me from getting burned out on them. And developing carpal tunnel ;)

I'm the man of my house, and still gaming. Not nearly as much as I used to, but only because I don't have the time. I'm 37, married, and a father of two. I work LONG hours, and play with my kids as much as I can in my free time. Where I used to spend 2-5 hours every day playing videogames, I now have weeks that go by without that much gametime.

My son is already a game freak (he's 7) and it won't be much longer before I don't have to let him beat me at Soul Calibur 2 or NBA Street 2 anymore. :)

Holy crap...that you would even come up with such an idea is spooky. That you would actually do it is hair-raising. You, sir, have raised my hair.

well actually I think alot of older folks give up on music. It seems that as teens the boomer gen baught tons of LPs and such and now that they are older they don't buy cds and only listen to music that's played on the radio. I mean I don't think the same people who baught the white album are the same people who are buying white stripes cds. Most older folks are happy with their classic rock, Oldies and top 40 stations to buy cds from new artists.
