Need some Cheap-Ass Internet Security!

So the trials on my McAfee Security Center and Norton Antivirus that came with my new computer have ended, and I was wondering if I should re-new one of them(I don't need BOTH, do I?), or look for a better deal in a store for them. Or maybe there's a better program out there for internet security?

What do you guys use and reccommend?

no, you dont need both....and i use norton, which works great for me

Get AVG Antivirus - free : www.grisoft.com

Get MS's Antispyware remover/protector tool - free: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

Turn on XP's Firewall and get a brodband router. Make sure you have XP sp2 and all relevant updates.

Other options : spybot and spywareblaster.

That AVG Antivirus is a 30-day trial, and then you have to pay... I got the Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta though, and it looks very good. I'd like to have Norton as well, so I might just go out and buy it.
