Well, I guess it's a good thing the game is fun, because I was going to buy it anyway. Yay!

I already have the game paid off, but you gotta remember IGN also gave Pac-Pix an 8.0, and Yoshi's Touch & Go an 8.8. Although I now this game will be worlds better than those two, IGN doesn't seem to mind games with little replayability such as YT&G, and PP.

Can't speak for PP since I don't have it, but isn't "replayability" ALL that Touch & Go is?

Nice, I would've bought it even if the reviews were bad.
EDIT: Is there any kind of pre-order bonus anywhere? (Pink stylus? (http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop/NTR-R-ATKJ.html))

That pink stylus was in the JPN version, but I dunno if it will be in the US one. Here's hoping! (I need another stylus anyway, already lost one.)

I'd like a traditional kirby game or something like Kirby Supersatr but, this game does look promising. I will get it someday.

agreed, that game is awesome on the counsoles and its looking really good on the DS also. I would get it if the reviews are good!
This Kirby game looks awesome too. I am starting to love the DS touch screen!

...am i the only one simply addicted to Yoshi's Touch and go? The fact that there is no end keeps me playing that. Once i unlocked everything in Lumines i droped it like a rock...a very good sounding rock, but a rock none-the-less

i trust GS scores way better than IGN. they are very generous with their, um, numbers.

I don't trust either, but if IGN gives it higher than a 7 then it's a good / ok game. Below that , like the Yoshi Tilt game, is trash and should not be bought.

Finally get to see what the game is about... that damn commercial shows me nothing about the gameplay, except I use a stylus and it's on DS.

Same with me. I can't help but pop it in for a quick couple games every time I glance at my DS. It's probably the best crapper game ever.
It's nice to see a game that takes full advantage of DS' unique functions recieve a high score.

I would mostly agree with that "Best crapper" game comment, but when your above 3000 and your "in the zone", you tend to get up much later and have your legs asleep.
I may have said too much :)

damn, RA got a shit rating. Thats too bad, that WAS going to be the first EA game i bought within the first week of its release since Madden 2005.(which i traded in 5 old sports games for!)
I am enjoying Burnout 3: Takedown though, good work EA.(i think its safe to sya that will be the last time i will be saying good job to EA.)

I'm getting Kirby for sure. Goldeneye looks like a decent pick up when its cheap later on, looks alright enough to give those who want a FPS fix a bit of satisfaction till Metroid comes out.

Well to be fair Criterion should be given credit for Burnout, they're the ones who really made the series what it is. I wouldn't find it hard to believe that in publishing it, all EA had to do was stick their logo in the credits and the box art.

Same here. I hope EA will soon learn the high expectations that Rare set for the Goldeneye name and not put out a GE game that is less than perfect.

you know for SURE that's what EA did, besides probably pushing criterion to get it out as soon as possible so they can cash in and make another game.

Yea I've noticed a lot lately that when someone bashes EA, someone else comes in and says well at least Burnout 3 is good yadda yadda. Many companies publish games that they don't even have a hand in making, so it really is unfair to give EA credit after Criterion put the work into 3 kickass games.

Tomorrow (or today being its past midnight) is the day. I plan to pick up Kirby, RA, and Yoshi...since I have so much friggin Gamerush credit.
And to answer the pink stylus question...
There will be NO stylus included in the American release (much like Pac-Pix!). Grrr

I just picked up Kirby. It's great! It's what would happen if someone put Kirby's Adventure and Kirby's Dream Course in a blender. (Incidently, those are my two favorite Kirby games.) Getting used to the control scheme took a bit, even though I've spend a good amount of time with Yoshi. But now I'm looping and bouncing all over the place.

I picked it up today too, played for about 1 hour and I'm loving it so far. Even got it for $30 after my friends discount.
He picked up Rogue Agent which isn't all that bad either, the controls take some getting used to.

It's too bad that Nintendo didn't let EA use the N64 Goldeneye game. 4 player Goldeneye wireless multiplayer.

if nintendo have the rights to that game, they might as well do it themselves.

I picked up Goldeneye yesterday and i have to point out how smooth the controls are. The biggest gripe i had with the console version is how i couldnt aim at anyone but this one fixes that. Graphic and framerate are both excellent, story not very good of course, but overall an extrememly impressive handheld game. Do not be wary if you are considering it as it provides fun (a la the crapper) lol

Nintendo has the orginal N64 game (unless Rare owns the rights to the game, but I doubt they do) but they don't have the James Bond license. If Nintendo would have let EA use the N64 game it would have been good for both Nintendo and EA. EA would have sold a ton of copies (far more then this Goldeneye will sell) and it would have been a system seller for the DS (and Nintendo would have gotten royality moeny for the game from EA).

I just got Goldeneye RA, so far I'd give it a 7. The graphics are damn good and i havent noticed slow down, its a good mindless shooter and should keep me busy for a while. I've heard the game is pretty short but there are a few difficulty levels and unlockables as well as multiplayer DM or you can play against bots. Overall presentation is pretty good, the music and sound effects are rather atrocious though. I'm still trying to extensively test out each control mode to see which is best, so far, i like the stylus mode most (almost the same controls as the Metroid demo). AI isn't too great but not much worse, if any worse, than the original Goldeneye's AI. There are already a ton of weapons in the first three missions. Overall this game is good and I have been craving a precise and portable FPS for years, hopefully some of my friends get a DS soon as i want to play this against real opponents.
