I really like the naming convention that's being established in upcoming DS games.
Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits
Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Dig Dug: Digging Strike
Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy
Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers
Lunar: Dragon Song (there are some conflicting reports on this title, but a google search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGLD%2CGGLD%3A2004-34%2CGGLD%3Aen&q=lunar+dragon+ds) turns up plenty of reliable hits)
Kind of a nice spin on things, instead of having a new version of 64-syndrome.

I gotta be honest, i NEVER noticed that. And now that I know, its very cool
And i feel you about the "64" syndrome, it got sooooo lame. For example, couldn't Rare think of a better subtitle to the long awaited Donkey Kong than "64"??. Don't forget the "Super-itis" of the SNES days also.

That IS intersting. Nice litle subliminal naming there.

A ton of GBA games suffer from this as well. Every thing is "Advance", Sonic Advance, Advance Wars, Super Mario Advance, Advance Guardian Heroes, etc. . .

I'm surprised that we didn't get more "DX" titles when the Gameboy Color came out (i.e. Super Mario Bros. DX, Tetris DX, etc.)

Agreed. Never really ever noticed this until now. Kind of cool now that I think of it. And like the OP said, better than just naming them DS or 64.

I think there were only 4 of those DX titles. Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, Super Mario Bros DX, Tetris DX, and R-Type DX.

Wow, never noticed that. Scary eh?
I thought of that when Dawn of Sorrows was announced, and then began noticing more and more of them.
