How come I've never heard of this one?
I played the original arcade Dig Dug ALL the time when I was a kid. I hope this new one expands on the theme and makes it a much more in-depth experience. Could be very good...

Bumping this with news of a north american release this fall.
Sounds pretty cool, using the top screen to find fault lines and then moves to the bottom screen.

Looks awesome. It seems as if this game will combine classic Dig-Dug and the underrated Dig-Dug II. Can't wait!
OK, I'm dredging up this thread since the game releases tomorrow. I'm thinking of getting it at EB along with We Love Katamari and a preorder for Pac-Man World 3 so I can get the $25 voucher for buying 3 Namco games (voucher deal ends 11/5, PMW3 comes out 11/15 but is featured on the voucher ad, so I'm sure you can use a preorder to qualify). But I'd like to see at least ONE review of Dig Dug Digging Strike first! There is NOTHING at metacritic. Surely someone has reviewed this game already?
The Namco deal is a $15 voucher for 2 games, or $25 for 3. There used to be a complete list on the web site - I'm sure there were other DS games (in addition to both Katamaris, Soul Calibur III, Pac-Man World 3, etc...).

definitely interested in checking this one out. I'm going to wait on some reviews first before making a purchase.

The guys at EB told me Wednesday, and every other release date I've seen is actually today (Oct. 18th).

Ah, well, not every DS game released this month can be amazingly fantastic. I may pick this up when (if) it drops its pricetag.

I'll probably pick this up at EB using the Buy 3 Namco games get a $25 gift voucher deal. Basically, I'd be getting it for $5 (assuming I use the $25 voucher to get something I'd buy there anyway later).
