Found My Answer - Please Close Mods (Question for Nintendo DS Owners)

I wanted to know if a game for the game boy advance that uses 4 buttons, instead of 6 unlike the original, i.e. Street Fighter Alpha 3 or Street Fighter II Revival, will it use all 6 since the DS has 6 buttons? I'm guessing I know the answer, but since I don't have a DS I wanted to make sure and ask DS owners that might have tried the scenario. Thanks in advance for any help.

a game designed for the GBA will not gain any features when being played in the DS. It will use the exact same control scheme it was designed with.

The answer is no, there isn't any GBA game that is able to use the X/Y buttons on the DS.

Bummer huh? How difficult would it have been for Nintendo to add the x/y buttons to the original gba??? It would have made perfect sense too, considering that it was meant to port snes games and the snes controller had not 4 buttons, but SIX! Of course, what do they care? It still sold like crazy.

yeah, learned that the hard way with Guilty gear. it's so frustrating, cause it plays almost exactly like GGX, but the L and R buttons screw it all up. still a lot of fun though.
