Worms DS announced

I have never played worms myself but I'm sure there are fans here. I'll definitely check out the review whenever it comes out to see if it's my cup of tea.

I would assume its 2D just because they called it 'Worms' and not 'Worms 3D'. We can only hope...

I would REALLY like a 2D Worms game (obviously online)! I'll probably pick up a DS in late August (financial aid come in & games I actually have a real insterest in come out around then anyway), so hopefully by then there will be more info...And plenty of time to implement online play ;)

PS: Anyone else tired of 3D worms already? I felt like Worms 3D was basically a "push off the ledges into the water" fest...

2d is the only way to go. all the 3d worms were not the same thing ya know? Not a reason to buy a DS but this is some really great news...

It's cool that they finally officially confirmed it. Months ago, there was a listing on Walmart.com for a "Worms DS," and I've been waiting for official word ever since.

3D= overrated. I hope this is 2D. The 3D one just annoys me. Thanks for the info.

A 2d worms game should work incredibly well on a DS, with the touch screen and all. Hopefully this is online and/or has wifi multiplayer. Another cool feature would be hotseat multiplayer (like advance wars).
