Wanted - Naval Combat simulator

Either WW2 (aircraft carrier captain) or Modern (missile attack cruiser). For people who are old enough to remember: "Strike Fleet" on the Commodore=64 is what I have in mind.



Does such a game exist for PS2 or PC?

Sad.

The military gaming arena has been over-run by First-Person Shooters. I don't like killing people face-to-face. I'd rather deal with the ship-to-ship battles, and the cool technology (like Stealth Fighters and Tomahawk missiles).

There was some naval simulator I remember reading a review or preview of roughly 6 months ago... I'll look and see if there's any more info I can find.

There's always good old Silent Service...Yeah I still boot up the C=64 emulator from time-to-time and play that or Strike Fleet.

I'd like a game with modern hi-res graphics though.
