I just noticed the battery life. I think its low compared to others:

Yeah. I rarely see a laptop that breaks 2 gHz.

If it was an Intel Centrino processor, I would consider teh 2.8 GHz to be top of the line. However, it is a P4 so it is very big, heavy, and it has a short battery life. Also, it only has 40 Gbs hard drive. I would not recommend this as much better and cheaper laptops could be had.
