I wasn't quite sure where to post this topic but anyway...
I was given a 256 MB memory stick (psp kind) as a gift but I also got a 512. So I don't need the 256, but the person who gave it to me doesn't have the receipt. Would wal-mart take a return with no receipt?

As long as the item is in the system and you have a barcode you'll be able to return it, but you'll only get store credit.... but you can then go to a register, buy a stick of gum and get the rest in cash... walmart is dumb :-)

99 times out of a 100 they will return it w/o a problem.
The 1 time they don't write a letter to corporate headquarters for a complimentary gift card

The memory stick isn't originally from wal-mart, if that's not a problem it sounds like I'm headin for walmart tomorow boys

Without a receipt Wal-Mart will require a license to issue a refund in store credit. They track this number and you can do it 3 times before they shut you off.

If Wal-Mart doesn't stock the product though, they won't give you credit for it...as long as they sell the same brand of memory stick, you should be fine.
