Well..Just finished reading Superman #204. Interesting. Its got the usual Jim Lee artwork, with a slightly redesigned supes. The reason i said Interesting is that this really is just the very begining of the story...but almost nothing storywise was thrown out there.

Slightly dissapointed, but hopeful of the future issues

Why?

What is the story with superman now. Didn't he die a few times or something?

um...im not quite sure. all i know, is with the 3 different lines (action, adventures, superman) all are doing different continuities (lois alive in 2, but not in 1...) all very confusing.

I didn't know Jim Lee was doing Superman now. Does this mean he's not doing Batman anymore? (It's been a while so bear with me)

Dc collapsed evything into one continuity but they kept Elseworlds as a reason to do Graphic novels.

I think the current divergent storyline is an isolated occurance designed to play around with 3 different plot paths an see which is the best one to follow. One where life is like it used to be, one where everything is as it normally is and one dire path thats not as rosey.

Just another sales stunt

yep, and considering we have (i cant belive this) 175 copies of supes 204..i hope its a damn good sales stunt.

and dc fox...The Jim lee batman run ended (now available in 2 hardcovers) and the azzerello batman started, then ended. now azzerello and Lee run starts on supes tommorow. (and no..i cant spell azzerelo tonight).

Its that sort of shit that made me give up on comics about 4 years ago. All that Marvel Knights crap with 'alternate realities' and whatever. It's one thing to do an elseworlds type thing (like kindom come -- it was great!!) just to explore different storylines, but when you have 3 different parallel continuities going at once it just amounts to confusion...

speaking of Batman..
my cousin's (Dustin Nguyen) first issue of Batman should be out tomorrow, hes just doing the series for 5 issues.
so if you all can do me a favor, and run out and support him (i sure will) that would be great. :-D

you can read more about it on his site (look in the 'Updates' box):

Damn. I'm a big fan of Lee's work. Is #204 the first issue of his run? I'm probably going to pick it up regardless.

Geez, can they make it a little more muddy?
Apparently, they are also planning to bring Hal back as GL eventually.
Of course, I have no idea how in the world they plan to explain how Hal will magically come back to life, stop being the Spectre, become the Earth's GL again, and how they plan to get rid of Kyle.

Okay, old question, but i need to know. Barry Allen Flash died in Crisis on Infinite Earths, right? if im not mistaken, he later comes back in a gl comic (which i have). so whats the deal, is he dead and wally west is the flash, or did he somehow come back?
