I don't know if this deal is at all GameRushes, but I saw a sign saying that if you trade in your used XBox system with Halo, you can get the new green XBox bundle for just $50 new. They give $100 credit for the system and $20 credit for Halo, and the green XBox bundle goes for $170, so $170-$120=$50.

Apparently this deal was going on at EB also.

I doubt EB gives $20 trade for Halo, or $100 for a used Xbox.

They don't- $80 for xbox, $20 for Halo so $20 less than GameCrazy.

So they arent really different than the current XBOXes except for the color? You are paying $50 for the same thing you have?

Yes, the LE XBox is the same thing you always have had. No 300 GB harddrive, or 3.6 Ghz processor, or smaller design. It's green, it's semi-see-through, and it has halo on it... a cheap silver spray job. The controller, though, has Halo where the XBox logo is now. It's a way to get noobs into the XBox and to get diehards to empty their wallets a little bit more.

This might be worth it to those Xbox owners with a Thomson DVD drive. If they want to trade it in before it goes out on them, sort've a pre-emptive strike. From what I understand the green boxes have a higher ratio of Samsung and philips drives.

I don't see why people are doing this... It just sounds so much freaking fun to replay all of those Xbox games for a new color :-\
