Good price.

However, you might want to get one of the generic multitaps; most of them come with an adaptor that allows you to play PS1 multitap games (on your PS2), as well.

Cheapy, you're my hero...LOL Seriously, thanks though and I even got a $10 gift voucher! Thanks! I needed a multitap

I've been waiting a long time for this.
I recently picked up 2 Dual Shocks from New Egg for $15 each and now with this multi-tap, I got the full setup for less than $45.

Try ordering a large number and it will tell you how many they have in stock.

sports games mostly

I was wondering the same thing as to what makes the multitap worthwhile. Smackdown and Amplitude some to mind...anything else?

The only non-sports game that comes to mind for me is Onimusha:Blade Warriors. Any other games that uses multi-tap besides sports titles?

Thats not a bad price for something that you need in order to let more than 2 people play at once.

Amplitude and Frequency are other non-sports games that support it.

However: If you bought a new model PS(Two), THIS WILL NOT WORK, I repeat THIS WILL NOT WORK. There was a change in the space between controller ports and memory card slots.

I've heard these are not compatable with the new slim PS2.

Really, who told you that?

quite true

you need to buy a re-designed multi-tap if you want it for the mini ps2!

Tekken Tag Tournement is amazingly good with 4 players. There is just a whole other element to it then. I just got a PStwo though because my old ps2 wouldn't read TTT anymore though. Sucks that I can't use a multitap. GRR.

I wasn't aware that the PS2 multitap wouldn't work on PS1 games. I assumed it worked, but now that you mention it I'll have to test that out when I go home.

But anyway, that's stupid about the slim PStwo. Anyone know for sure when the new multitap comes out? Or are they just gonna go all "HDD" on us and not support 4-player games anymore?

And BTW, TimeSplitters is another good one for 4-player gaming. And Twisted Metal Black of course (surprised more people haven't brought that up).

Best 4 player game ever is Champions of Norrath. There's nothing like chewing through waves of the undead with three of your friends. Also in the same vein, Gauntlet Dark Legacy, X-Men Legends, Baldur's Gate/Baldur's Gate II, etc. I've gotten a lot of use out of my multitap.

Really? Do reliable third parties make any with a PS1 adapter?

I saw that price at EB a few times. I might just pick one up since I've been buying many more multi-player games for my PS2 and I'd like to buy more controllers.
