We all know about Marvel vs. Capcom, but what about the other games that silently left retail...

I never see Dead Man's Hand at any retailer anymore.
Did Barbarian ever come out? It has a review on IGN.

Yeah it's pretty cheap too.

Red Star.

Such a great demo. No one ever picked it up.

Capcom Fighting Jam looked decent too. Anything had to be better then Fighting Evolution.

barbarian and dead man's hand pop up from time to time everywhere I go...

Most games simply go out of print after awhile. Unless it's a greatest hit, or a fairly new release, they stop production of them. Which is why most times whenever you find a game on clearence at an EB or GS, it's always the last, or gutted copy.

Iron Phoenix seems to be fading out FAST. It's still available online, but B&M it's pretty hard to find.. I don't think it'll ever drop in price and I don't think i've seen anyone trading it here.

Offroad Thunder, it was supposed to come out for the PS2 in 2001. It never did but I think it's going to be on Midway Arcade Treasures 3 (it's basically Hydro Thunder with monster trucks).

For games that were actually released, I am going to say Silent Scope Complete. It was available for a while (a few months) and then it seems like no stores sold it anymore.

Many games go out of print fairly quickly. Initial printing is based on the quantities that are pre-ordered. Low pre-orders means a low printing. That is why pre-orders are so important to the smaller publishers.

Reorders from retailers to distributors will deplete the initial print run. If 2 or 3 re-orders come in, the distributor indicates continued demand to the publisher who then presses additional quantities of the game until demand whithers.

I hate when little name publisher and developers make a really good game and it never gets the sales it deserves.

Stella Deus seems to be getting harder to find near me, and is no longer on EB's website. Then again, it's an Atlus game.

Legaia 2, I didn't realize it had come out until I found it in a bargain bin.

Thank God, it's one of the worst excuses for a fighter I've ever played. Horrible, horrible game.

Red Star was a game being made by Acclaim. Acclaim went under and so did the development for all current games including 100 Bullets. Other publishers havent picked anything up yet....maybe it wasnt looking to good.

Actually, Red Star was completely finished from what I remember reading, no more development was to be done on it.

It's really weird no one picked it up just to release the damn thing, I remember it got one or two reviews that were fairly positive.

Red Star was finished, the demo was incredible. It was at the top of my list to buy, but then sadly dissappeared. If it ever came out anywhere, I would import it in a heartbeat.

I don't know about Barbarian but Dead Man's Hand died off cuz it is a crappy game (though it isn't hard to find used). I bought it right away and ended up trading that sucker in for Red Dead Revolver. RDR kicks the crap outta DMH and since both can now be found on the cheap get RDR.

Offroad Thunder sounds great....I'll be picking up MAT3 to add to the collection...

SSC was beiung cleared out at Circuit City a few months ago. I was never able to find a copy, and have never seen one since...

Like Thrill Kill before it, it's been "released" by the devs. I was thinking of getting on a torrent, but I didn't like the demo. it was so boring compared to the Ninja Gaiden demo that was on the same disc.
