Yeah, honestly what does this say about the CAG community that we're knowingly doing this to one of the best online retailers out there. Sure it's a great "deal," but we all know it's a glitch. I wonder what the repercussions could be if EB gets real pissed off at CAG for this.

Chances are CAG15 could get cancelled, and Cheapy's rapport with EB could also take a bad hit from those of use who are just out to make a quick deal. We all know there are going to be some great deals happening later this week, so we should just hold out for those and let this "deal" be fixed.

There's about a 1% chance that all your orders won't be cancelled anyway, so just do the right thing for a chance and let this deal ride on.

Everything is back to normal. Saver works fine and combines with cag15 or pplay 15. Edge gets combined correctly. Its back to the way it used to be.

As for them cancelling the orders, I wouldn't mind if they did. I know it's a really great deal and they have every right to cancel it as they most likely did not mean for it to go through that way. I only did one order and if it did get canceled, I wouldn't be upset at all, just a little disappointed that such a great deal didn't go through.

Well, it was Cheapy that got the Saver code working again which in turn caused the glitch that let all these other codes be stackable. That's why I felt differently about taking advantage of this deal. Unfortunately, I think it was 50% morals and 50% empty wallet that held me back on this deal.

I didn't place an order and would've felt wrong in doing so with a CAG code. Big huge neon sign of where the order originated from.

The fact that you have enough of a relationship with the EB.com folks to make special codes just for us isn't something we should stress/endanger.

I cannot imagine anyone rationally faulting that. In the longrun, it is much better if cag15/16 continues to works with saver/edge than whatever extra savings could have been squeezed out from a brief stacking glitch. I do not see anything wrong with exploiting the error, nor do I see anything wrong with cheapassgamer taking an active stance in getting this loophole closed, again because the majority benefit from always being able to use the existing stacking codes.
It is completely up to EB whether they honor these transactions, if they do, great for those who slipped in. If not, hopefully the normal codes will continue to provide a solid reason to shop at ebgames.com

Because CAG15 and PPLAY15 are essentially the same coupon, but EB gave us our own specialized code. Using both is pretty much just using the same exact coupon twice, which wasn't ever the intention of EB.

It's just that the glitch seemed to occur due to Cheapy's request to fix the problem where SAVER wasn't stacking with CAG15 anymore. So it seemed like EB was in the process of trying give us back an awesome stacking deal, and we thank them by raping the site through an obvious glitch.

i ordered 5 games myself.. i don't think EB will really suffer from this "glitch" or whatever you want to call it. it's not like we were getting $50 games for $5.. a case in which EB would clearly be losing money and one in which I would not take advantage of a price mistake. but let's be real, even with two 15% off discounts and the edge discount, my guess is EB is still making money. just consider the excruciatingly low credit they give for trade-ins and how much they're marked up after that.
i wouldn't be surprised if EB honored most, if not all, of the orders. or maybe they'll be true cheapasses as well and cancel every order. ;-)

Heads up. I followed the advice of another thread on how to use the saver code on a purchase, but actually get ups instead of usps shipping (you add preowned h/w, which can't ship media mail).

BUT!!!!

I received my confirmation which was all good, 0.00 on the shipping, followed by the ship notice, which suddenly had a 5.99$ shipping charge added. I called EB and they did remove the charge, but pointed out that the saver code should not be good on h/w.

If you are using this technique to get faster shipping, check you shipping confirmation email. I just cannot beleive that they can charge unapproved amounts to your credit card without you authorization. Those corporate bastards.

I am sure had this glitch not appeared, they may not have even thought about getting games. All those 2 were trying to say is use common sense and just wait on the games. I am assuming the individual has games, maybe if they want newer games, they could try trading their older games in and getting credit to get new games. Sure its nice to "spoil" yourself every once in a while, but if you've got a kid on the way and even have to think about where you are spending the money, you should just save it for the kid and the bills that come with it.

My health insurance plan (I work for a "temp" company, but we aren't really temps, just lowly contractors) - would have cost $140/week (about 25% of my income), so I never turned it on. I'm still paying off our damn wedding (in Vegas, also cheapass :D).

Even if I had turned it on when we got married, like all insurance plans I TRIED to GET NO MATTER THE COST, it exempts pregnancies for 12 months as a pre-existing condition. They can only NOT call it pre-existing if you are switching insurance/jobs...if you have no insurance previous, they can call it pre-existing. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Learn something about health care before mouthing off.

P.S. I also go to school mostly fulltime as well as work fulltime/overtime, working on my Bachelor's in History & Computer Science, and I've been doing it as best I can for way to long. 'Bout 2 years left.

The best part is that even through I bought a used Net adapter, It came complete in original box, and mint. It even had the warranty card in it! This deal just keeps getting sweeter.

I mostly picked up cheap stuff under $19 and some games that had pricegrabber rebates, since the prices won't be dropping anytime soon and $5 rebate makes some of them free.

But there was also a side that thought it was a good opportunity to get the "rarer" games like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, etc. Anyone do that? I was holding back on getting DMC3, god of war, or shadow of rome - thinking they'll drop to $20 by the end of the year.

My Wipeout UMD was broken as well. The other ones were fine and in pretty nice shape for being used. Seems odd that several of the UMDs from EB have been like this.
