Hmmm, I don't know. Anything cheap is good. I really have to think about it. Hell, I'll go to the commissary and purchase meat that's discounted cause the "Used by date:" is the next day.
Cheap whores...well as long as you have cheap condoms. :) I don't know...

I know that I am not much of a cheapass when it comes to shoes.
I have to buy shoes from the New Balance store, because no one carries my size (and if they do they are 140 dollar Nike's) and my feet are bad (while lighting fire crackers I slipped on some algae and my foot has never been the same, it was freakin HUGE). Now I will not say I spend a lot on shoes(75) but considering these are the same shoes that go for 50 in other stores it pisses me off.
Also I am known to spend over a 100 on a pair of Birkenstocks. If you own a pair broken in then you understand. One of my pairs smell so bad and are so worn out I had to retire them though, but they do last a long time before they wear out

College because the education system in Maryland is nothing more than a gloryfied cartel. I pay about $2900 a semester and $250 on books. I know of half.com but sometimes the teachers wants us to use things that aren't included in Half.com for sale books.

There we go....totally agree! Also one mentioned the wiring for the entertainment center. Yes you should not go cheap on that either...unless it's expensive and you found it cheap somewhere else.

Great reply's so far .... must admit I never thought about splurging on the good asswipe.
My thing is tires. I can't cheese out when it comes to tires. I could go on and on about cheap tires but I won't. Something else I need help with.
I have a little sphinctal itch at the moment. I a meticulous wiper and I'm beginning to think this little problem may be caused by the industrial grade asswipe I've been using.
Can anyone recommend some quality brand names? Can i buy it in bulk?

You're complaining about $2900 a semester? I paid $13000...
Anyway, things I'm not cheap about: groceries (organic only, usually Whole Foods), clothes, restaurants, presents, rent... most things that aren't movies, music, or games.

That's EXACTLY what I buy. Creepy.
I can't stand cheap soda. It's gotta be the real thing baby! Some groceries can be cheap, but not steak. Steak's gotta be the best you can find, no matter the cost.
And shower soap too. I only buy Lever. Anything else just doesn't feel the same.

Ammo.
The last think you want is cheaply constructed shotgun shells, or centerfire bullets with an overly weak casing.

1) Shoes - I only wear Doc Martens. I pay more for them, but my last pair lasted me FOUR YEARS. Luckily I have a friend who runs a shoestore, so my current pair cost something like $80 for a $140 pair that I had specially ordered.
2) Tools - buying cheap tools is never cheap, because you will just end up buying the cheap tool, then when it breaks you'll end up buying the quality tool as well.
3) Toilet paper

Swords as well. Sneaky can probably attest to that.
You get what you pay for.. if you go to a flea market and pay 20 dollars, don't be shocked when it rusts, falls apart, or breaks easily.

Oh and I go to clubs & concerts, you can't get around cover charges and ticket prices. DAMN YOU TICKETMASTER !!!!
For some artists, you can get tickets to their concerts without as many extra charges by buying through Musictoday (http://www.musictoday.com/). Not all artists are available there, but for the ones that are, it's usually cheaper than going through Ticketmaster. However, I think there was a new rule recently (though I don't know who made it) that Musictoday can sell tickets for a particular event only until the tickets for that event go on sale at Ticketmaster; once they're available at Ticketmaster, Musictoday either can't sell them or has to charge all the extra fees too. I can't remember for sure, but it was something along those lines. In any case, if you're buying tickets early for a concert, it's worth checking out.

Bows, Bowstrings, and arrows and deer-hunting razortips would be another one too.
Bad bows break, bowstrings that snap while drawn leave huge welts up and down your arm, bad arrows splinter and break, and you run a greater risk of cutting yourself while putting together and taking apart the razor tipped head on the arrow if you buy the cheap ones.
Actually, you'd probably want a good knife as well. Nothing would be less fun that having your knife snap while disembowelling a deer.

"Cheap" doesn't necessarily mean "not good." And some things that are cheap, aren't even worth what the cheapass price is.
On the few items that price isn't the main variable, I'm still a cheapass and look for the best price/deal on that certain product.
For me, those products include:
TP - I don't buy it, but we have one brand we always buy. Buy it by the buttload [pun intended], and it's usually cheaper.
Frozen waffles - The only true frozen waffle is Eggo. I don't buy them often, but when I do, it's Eggo. Of course, having a coupon or buying in bulk at BJ's is nice.
Ketchup - Get that watery Hunt's away from me, I'm a Heinz man all the way [not a Heinz-Kerry man, however]. About once a month at least one store around me has a BOGO sale, so I get like 8 bottles.
Internet connection - we discussed 'cutting costs', and this was one thing we briefly considered. Briefly. But seriously, there is no way I can go back to dialup if I can at all help it. And I've actually been rather pleased with Road Runner.
Some things are worth the extra money, and by being a cheapass in other places, I don't mind splurging on things where I can tell the difference.

I'd rather spend the extra dollar and get a cereal box twice as large then the puny one for a dollar less.

Very true--it's amazing sometimes how much you can save by buying the larger quantity. [Not always, however.] When we go shopping for paper goods, my wife's like, 'This one has 12 rolls for 7 dollars, and that one has only 8 rolls for 8 dollars.' But the total square inchage on the 8 dollar one, is like 600, because they're bigger rolls, and the 12 roll one has like 350. So for 1 dollar more, you're getting 4 fewer rolls, but almost twice as much acreage of paper [assuming the quality is present, and it's something you'd actually use]. The marketers and package designers play some sneaky tricks with packaging [like, oh, potato chips], so you really have to be alert on the dollars-per-unit of a product.
Buying a 20 oz Pepsi/Coke boggles my mind--they're anywhere from .89 cents to 1.19. A two liter can generally be found for no more than 1.29, and sometimes as low as .69-.79. Obviously what you're paying for there is the refrigeration, but still. We stopped at a convenience store on the way back from a concert one time to get gas and a beverage--they had 32 oz. fountain drinks for .99. You could get a 20 oz cup and ice for .10. They had 2 liter bottles for .89. I bought a cup, ice, and a 2 liter for the same price as one 32 ounce fountain drink [and since you usually put ice in, you're not getting anywhere near 32 oz. of beverage.] And I had Dew to drink the next couple of days also.

Hotels, sometimes it's better to just fork over some more cash for a better place.
And even though I don't have one, a car.
